Thinking logically the answer would be “NO”, so why did he receive an “envelope”, if he did receive one?
Do we have evidence that he did?

I found it interesting that the film of Michelle Obama opening the envelope seemed to be a deliberate recording of the event and her reaction...almost like the photographer was waiting for it.

I have never trusted Pence; when researching him during the campaign I found he is good friends with Paul Ryan who is still bbf with Rat Romney...as far as a letter goes I didn’t see him get one but I did see the others get one...do you think it was an invite later for a get together???

My two cents regarding the envelopes:
I think we all wish they were indictments, messages from Q or other epic things in the envelopes. Considering the event, I think our President has too much class to let that happen.
Maybe it was a simple request for donations to the Cathedral. A little tasteless perhaps but understandable with the expenses they incur putting on these state funerals. It would explain the looks on the family’s faces especially if they had asked for it not to be done. The others weren’t nearly upset about it. and that kind of faux passe would not be publicized unless they could link it to or blame Trump.
If the wives were the only ones to receive the envelopes, it could have been an invitation from Melania for an informal tea or such. She is too classy and smart to make the mistake of allowing them to snub her in the media by making it public. These aren’t the classless McCains who would have walked up to her, thrown it in her face and say FU. The optics are more important to them than that. The notes haven’t been publicized because they see no way to spin it in their favor. Hard to attack someone making a kind gesture.
Just a couple of thoughts. No one really knows but the giver and receiver of the notes.
