There are two different types of transgenders: Mit swanze stucker und eier; und ohne swanze stucker un eier. We have to consider them separately.

So, this person who was born as a woman is able to take hormones to improve her strength, and then enter a super featherweight boxing competition. Seems fair.
Is her male competitor allowed to take muscle-boosting hormones as well?

She’s still a female, mutilated and pumped full of hormones.

Aren’t hormone injections supposed to be illegal in sports?

Can a straight male boxer use testosterone?
If not, could a straight male boxer declare himself a transgender and begin testosterone supplements?

Started out as an Olympic hopeful female boxer. Add a bunch of testosterone and steroids, and heck, he might even win a featherweight title.

His mother said she knew from an early age that Manuel, born Patricia, was different from other girls her age. His grandmother was the one who pushed him into boxing in high school, gifting him with a boxing club membership at Christmas to help him lose weight (Pictured. Manuel, right, at unknown date, with professional boxer Lucia Rijker)
Lucia Rijker
Lucia Frederica Rijker (Dutch pronunciation: [ˈrɛikər]; born December 6, 1967) is a Dutch professional female boxer, kickboxer, and actress.
Rijker was sometimes dubbed by the press "The Most Dangerous Woman in the World".

At UK Daily Mail there is a photo of this boxer and he looks masculine enough. His female breasts are gone, that area is flat. Due to hormones? He also has a beard.

This is a female pumped full of male hormones - who knows how much she has in her? If the male fighter supplemented with testosterone or steroids, he’d be suspended.

An emotional six-year journey proved worth every step for Patricio Manuel on Saturday when he climbed into the ring at the Fantasy Springs Resort Casino in Indio to become the first transgender male boxer in U.S. history.Congratulations, ma'am (you can never be a "sir").

I find it interesting that what is never mentioned in any of these types of stories that 20 years from now most of these people will be suffering massive health problems from taking these hormones. Cancers will be way above average, and that will only be part of the story.
No one seems to think that matters in the least.

The title should read, Woman Taking Hormones Makes History in Her Pro Debut. Because every cell in her body is female, and will be until she is dead.
