IMAGES OF THE LAND 24 HOURS PER DAY (translated from Portugese).
THIS _THREAD_IS_WORTHLESS_WITHOUT_PICS
The InSight mission is recording sound and seismic activity.
It will hear tremors from any earthquakes or meteor impacts and slowly build a 3D image of the subsurface as the sounds will come from many different directions. https://twitter.com/hashtag/SoundsOfMars?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw%7Ctwcamp%5Eembeddedtimeline%7Ctwterm%5Eprofile%3ANASAInSight&ref_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.nasa.gov%2Fmission_pages%2Finsight%2Fmain%2Findex.html
obunghole loaned them his selfie stick!
At the 10:42 mark, somebody was shining a flashlight into the sky, and the cameraman quickly turned the camera elsewhere to hide the fact that a member of the film crew was in the line of sight.
True that, but why is Earth not more properly called Sea?
My rule to stuff like this is NO PIX NO CLICKS.
*ping of interest*
Thanks fieldmarshaldj.
The scenes at the 8 and a half minute point and the 11 min plus parts of the tape display the entire rover and the camera on the arm with shots taken a few yards away from the rover.

“~SARCASM~”
Then please tell me how they can picture the entire rover, to include the arm that contains the camera, in two separate shots, in two separate location, with enough space to display a separation of the camera used and the rover at a little over 8 minutes and 11 minutes on the tape? And don’t guess what it might be, tell me what it is as I can see what I saw on their film.

Thank you. But who held it?

Now, I see what you mean at the 8:06min mark, but at the 11:12min mark, notice the black-out grid covering the bottom half of the screen. And at 11:43min mark, the whole rover is visible alone, again.
Is there another rover already up there, that we re-activated, from an earlier landing?

Not known. But I think they staged the pictures on earth to possibly get a better picture, and a bigger effect on the viewer to try to sell the public on the need for funds to the space agency as they are hurting financially. Obama killed them by cutting their funding by 20% in 2013. If they produced some lousy pictures, who wants to support a questionable program?
And of course the destroying of the inability to colonize the planet by the liberal hero Bill Nye, is not helping their cause much either.
