Goldline via Glenn Beck?
Bad PR. Did they think this would persuade potential customers?
Good viral marketing. They probably ticked off the ‘influencers’, but they’ll more than make up for it in viral marketing. “Say what you want about me, just spell my name correctly” was the old rule of thumb.
Great PR. Consumers learned that the Payless product is just as nice as ritzy brand names. And they also learned that none of their friends can tell one from brand from another.
And it was all in good fun. And also this generation loves seeing people get punked. They’ll love this commercial.
Broke them out of that downscale box they were put in.
Great marketing idea!
HA! Good for them.
One of the biggest legal ripoffs in this world are Women’s “Designer” Shoes.. There is a commercial running on some of my satellite channels for a website that sells slightly used womens shoes, and the lady in the commercial is highly excited about the slightly used pair of shoes that she bought for $350.00 that she says would have cost her a thousand dollars more in the stores.
Looked like about three bucks worth of materials and fifteen in Labor, were they made in a ‘First World’ nation. Probably a dollar and a half in whatever hellhole they were actually made
One hell of an advertising campaign.
I’m painting the bottom of all my “spikes” red.
I love it!
Dunno, but they sure did show how gullible and stupid the "influencers" are.
I had a great laugh watching them getting punked.
add white polka dots. Be original!
