Nichols College - Nate Tenaglia, victim
Defender Kewan Platt trotting up to Nichols College Nate Tenaglia, then attempting a 3-pointer:
Defender does quick head check to the ref, the better to make sure his action goes unseen.
Defender throws a quick, sharp elbow to the face, man collapses to the floor.
My understanding is the defender has been indefinately suspended and barred from campus.
The brief twitter vid of the incident is pretty impressive, I've only seen one hockey cheap shot meaner than this one.
Should be arrested also.
The quick check over the right shoulder is what proves it was premeditated. Why people don’t go to jail over these things I don’t understand.

Of course he plays for Boston.
Boston is a place where if you are from there, the rules don’t matter. If you are not, then the smallest infraction can suddenly be used against your interests.

That was not a cheap shot. That assault was plain and simple. It was premeditated, and there was intent to do bodily harm.

I saw a Facebook thread on this, started out quite outraged and indignant at the attack (even in ebonics), until one poster used the T-word* to describe the attacker, after which many of the responses decided that the victim deserved it.

I remember that one. More in the heat of passion, but Tomjanovich needed facial reconstruction surgery after the fact, which made the punch more serious.
That was terrible - but not premeditated.
Kermit said he just saw someone running at him out of the corner of his eye and turned with a closed fist - and made contact with Rudy T's face, crumpling him to the floor.
Kermit was remorsful from day one, and was never the same dominant player he once was.
Of course, Rudy wasn't either.
Mcsorley was just a thug.
Kewan Platt was a good boy. He enrolled in college, played on the school basketball team and was getting his life on the right track. He even DJ’d in the off season....
