A Canadian rapper has fallen to his death after walking along the wing of a Cessna plane as part of a music video shoot in Vernon, British Columbia.
Jon James McMurray, 34, walked to the edge of the wing, causing the aircraft to spiral downwards out of control.
McMurray failed to open his parachute because he held on to the plane for too long, his manager said. He died on impact in the accident on Saturday.
"He had trained intensively for this stunt", his manager added.
The pilot was reportedly able to regain control and land the plane safely.

and what, exactly, does a cool guy look like?
Even though I knew it was coming, that was still good for hearty chuckle. ;^]
Probably watched a couple of YouTube videos.
Must have missed this one.

On the bright side, he will see a jump in music sales for awhile . . .
“As God is my Witness” loller
High drag at one wingtip. What could go wrong?
We have a winner!
Rappers?
No one said they were smart
Finally, a rapper who avoids becoming a victim of “gun violence.”
Ok, I get to tell a true story. As a younger pilot and skydiver (back in the 80’s, and not simultaneously), I had many thousands of skydives, and executed several such stunts, both as the pilot and wing walker. Another skydiver/pilot cohort of mine flew when I played outside, and I flew for his turn at it. I have many photos sitting on the leading edge of various aircraft wings before front flipping off the plane and opening the parachute. On one occasion, I was flying and my associate was going to climb out on the wing for take some pics for his ‘glory’ wall. Except he failed to remember that the control authority of the planes ailerons is designed for balanced weight. When he got out about 8 feet or father from the fuselage, the plane started rolling and diving and it was beyond any stick movement for me to correct. Fortunately we started this stunt at about 6000 ft and after a loss of about 3000 feet, he let go, cleared the tail and deployed. I then recovered the plane. In retrospect, not our brightest day, but one to remember for sure.
My flying is much more conservative these days. :)
Hold muh beer, eh?
To quote Chas from “the Wedding Crashers”: What an IDIOT!
There was a related scene in “The Great Waldo Pepper”, with a frightened girl clinging to the strut of the barnstormer’s biplane.
At least this pilot recovered & landed safely.
I though he walked out there, so how did he hold on too long after the plane went into a downward spiral? I would think that initial dip into the spiral would have thrown him off of the wing.
Two words that do not go together....”Canadian” and “rapper”.
