FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- Disclaimer: Don't do this at home.
Fresno Fire says a man who was house-sitting for his parents set the home on fire after he used a blowtorch to kill black widows.
Yes, you read that right.
Thankfully, firefighters say no one was injured in the fire and the man who initially called them made it out safely.
The house fire happened Tuesday night at a home in the Woodward Lake housing development.
Fire crews say there is damage to the second-story of the home and the attic.
29 firefighters responded to the two-alarm fire and were able to put it out.
Although the exact cause has not been determined, fire crews believe the blowtorch is to blame.

Honest Jim, I am sending in my donation!!!
What a dumb blowtorch.
You don’t need a blow torch.
We used to kill black widows with wd40 and a lighter. That worked just fine.
Thats's my neighborhood.
Having been bitten by a black widow spider, I can understand this urge. Fortunately I have resisted it.
I’ve used a can of Lysol as well as a can of WD-40.
Both work - Haven’t burned the house down tho’.
I like a guy who goes all in.
Where is an editor? Did you opt to burn down the house AFTER killing the spiders with the blowtorch or did he burn it down while trying to kill the spiders using the blowtorch?
Let that be a lesson to any other spiders.
It’s best if you live in a concrete barracks.
Was it you?
