You really have to hate and have a fear of spiders - especially Black Widows - to go to that extreme. I hate them but don’t have a blowtorch....

There is a product you can buy at Lowe’s called “MISS MUFFET’S REVENGE”. Gallon jug of contents with hose & sprayer. Spray all of your corners, etc. Let sit for 24 hours. Sweep down all the webs. Guaranteed for a year to keep spiders away. EVEN Black Widows. I have Black Widows and this year, the webs are very busy & all over the place. I am predicting a hard winter based on those webs.
