Life will be great again when I pass this damn thing. Right now, it's giving me a break. Started this past late Friday morning while driving. Ever since then, it's been off and on pain on a level of 7 out of 10. Early this morning was an ordeal as the pain started just after midnight and lasted until about 3:30am. I had to take the day off work. Been drinking boatloads of water since Friday.
Someone said drink fresh lemonade or lemon juice. Thoughts?
BTW, this is my 3rd bout with these things so not my first rodeo. First two were on my left kidney. This one's on the right.
Like cancer, KIDNEY STONES SUCK!
Serenity Now!
Didn’t know I had any until hubby & I went to the range to shoot in my new pistol. The reverberation caused me to pass one that night - really weird feeling.
So next time same thing happened, not so sure I want to go to the pistol range again.
They’re not very common but to give people suggestions that they should change their diet without analyzing the stone is crazy.
There are two clinics that analyze stones. One is at Mass General. It’s been there for decades. You need to know what kind of stone you have.
I picked up something heavy Squished the quad a Quinne and then I had a kidney stone is in three weeks I went into the ER pissed one in the toilet and had two in the pipe coming down at the same time they hurt a lot lemonade and apple cider vinegar mix together helps dissolve them in my opinion
In my experience, it may take up to six months to work. I drank the tea every day. Now I take the capsule half the time and drink the tea the other half. I wish you the best of luck.
85% of stones are calcium oxalate. If you already have gout consider uric acid stones. If they can be seen on plain xrays or fluoroscopy they are calcium oxalate. Recovered stones are usually sent for analysis if the patient wants to do it (and pay for it).
Apple juice
Raw
Lots of it
Dissolves stones
Do you drink a lot of soda? Just curious
When I had my kidney stone, the hospital fed me so much cranberry juice that I literally craved the stuff after I went home!
Didn't work, though. Urologist finally use a "Bard Basket" (invented by a friend & colleague of mine) to "go get it". Worked like a charm!
Now, I drink a minimum of 60 oz of water daily -- plus whatever other fluids I want...
Also helps keep my gout away -- and isn't bad for type 2 diabetes, either...

Prayers for you !
Never had the misfortune but have seen folks suffering from them...I’d go to the doctor to see how fast they can be alleviated.
I had roid surgery about 15 years ago.
Pure hell when the painkillers wore off.
I’m serious when I say your sphincter is involved with every thing your body does.
My wife waited on me hand and foot for awhile until I could shuffle about. Maybe 4 or 5 days.
Roid surgery seems to be in my future again.
My wife is with the Lord now and I’m on my own.
An adventure I’m not looking forward to.
Sorry about your wife, Godspeed with the medical issue. How some seemingly small things can make life so miserable is amazing. Good luck my friend.
“My last bout with kidney stones...I was afraid I was going to die. Then, I was afraid I wasnt....”
LOL! Been there.
Thank you.
