This is EVERYTHING TRUMP.
Administration, family, frustrations, joys, winning!
We welcome your research, your commentary,
your personal OT sharing and your presence.
Even if you do not share a lot, just check in and say hi.
Lurkers are welcome.

Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.

During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.

"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

GOOD!! I hope the Marines at Pendleton and Yuma are forming up, too!
THis whole thing has a feel of Trojan Horse style invasion, but without a damned horse!

Oh goody, glad you have electricity. It’s amazing how important those electrons are in our lives. When do you leave?

I’ll be praying your neighbor gets better quick. And then you girls can hang out again. I need to find myself a walking partner also. Besides the little Yorky. Although I have this problem, the only women that ever want to go hiking with me or liberals! I have kind of quit trying to ask people. From the Sierras to the Appalachians, same story. And they can’t keep their stupid mouth shut about politics. And then I never talk to them again, if I can help it.

i’m glad you said hello to Bubba for me, he’s a peach.

Anyone hear how that meeting Trump had with our military leaders went?

Wow, Juan Williams is stuck on stupid kissing up to the caravans. The others aren’t happy with him and letting him have it.

Thank you...art classes were always my toughest classes at critique times. People see life differently and to judge another really is hard for me. I know what I like but it necessarily isn't what another likes. The family I'm drawing the gift for really see art at different spectrums. The male likes abstract/ female likes animals and simplicity. Their common ground is loving Boulder and biking. I was shown all the art work when I visited and she pointed out two drawings she didn't like because of their dark colors and they really didn't look well next to two abstract ocean pictures. At the time when she asked me what I thought...I said the area needed movement and bright colors.
Thanks again.

I do feel compelled to point out the brand on that red cap of the THUG in the front.

They are not like us.

I hadn't thought of Mary Englebert for a long time. Every visit I would make to a special place in Indiana I would go by a shop that sold her work on cards. I'd buy something most every time.(Life is a bowl of cherries)...that pops in my head...LOL

Oh, Sweetheart..
You are only 30?
You have so much to experience, yet!

I live with chronic pain too, and I really DO understand.
Chronic pain is a THIEF!
It robs you of joy, even the simple pleasure of a good nights sleep.
Too many people are the type that “if it doesn’t show, it doesn’t hurt.”
They would tsk and hug someone with a broken arm, because the cast is VISIBLE!
You following me?

I have a handicap placard in my car.
I only use it on VERY bad days.
One afternoon, as I got out of my car, this guy walks up to me and said “What are YOU parking there for?
‘You look alright to me!”

I said; “Yeah? You looked okay to me too, until you opened your mouth and I found out you were an A$$H**e!
*VERY evil grin*

This quote from Proust sums it up pretty well:

“Illness is the doctor to whom we pay most heed; to kindness, to knowledge, we make promise only; pain we obey.”

Oh no, I’m about double 30. 57. I meant the physical therapist is very young and was an athlete, so he doesn’t understand chronic debilitating pain.

I’m so sorry you were in chronic pain also. You’re right, it robs even Simple Pleasures. It’s hard to enjoy much of anything when you hurt. And it’s even worse when I anticipate doing something and having it hurt me more. Even something small like making dinner. We’re going for a walk. It sounds silly sometimes but I just can’t even bother to walk around the property when my arms hurt. It’s just where is on your mind and your spirit. Even though my legs are fine, it just seems like a huge effort to go. But I have to make my dog happy so starting tomorrow I will try. I’ll make this commitment to you and him :-)

I’m sorry, you probably told me once what you had but I have such a bad memory. Especially now, it’s hard for me to think straight when I hurt. I asked my husband to go into the doctor’s with me on Monday because the last time I went I forgot to ask all the questions I had. At that point I just couldn’t have cared less about anything. And he was the one that might help!

Yes, that is awful that someone would even ask you that. You never know if someone has heart problems or breathing problems, that is just so rude. I really liked your response too :-) I always stop at this little grocery on the way home to see what they have new. And I tell a guy working there that I have tendonitis so could he pack the bags light. Today I had this tape on my arm, where my elbows are. I forget what it’s called but it really works well. And I was glad I had it, it was like that cast you’re talking about. It’s a symbol that I really am in pain!

Very true, it got my attention! Now I’m wondering what God’s plan is for me, and the pain. What am I supposed to learn? And how the heck am I supposed to live like this!

Hmmm...
Maybe you and I and any others could write a book called ‘Simple Pleasures” A journey of living with chronic pain.

What say you?
(I really like this idea!)

I hope you will forgive me for being so crude sometimes-
I am VERY true to my screen name)
It’s just that on that day, the pain was so bad I felt like I was going to vomit, and that turkey comes up and starts giving me an attitude!
I kinda lost it!
LOL

Thanks...many of the suggestions my husband really tries to follow. H really loves cranberry/cherry juice/cherries. Doesn't drink soft drinks. It seems to kick in when he eats too much red meat and he watches that now too.
