Lurkers are welcome.
Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.
During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.
"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

Keep the Truth coming Mr. President

Seven boys! Wow., just imagine the grocery bills when they were teenagers.
Oh thats right, you dont like to cook! Well when my arms get better Im going to cook up a storm and Ill send you whatever you want!
We will have to have a trump family train feast!
Nacho cheese!
I love all cheese. Extra sharp cheddar and asadero are two most commonly consumed around this house. And there is a goat farmer here that makes the best cheese. :-) and I put blue cheese on my salad. I always say since I’m allergic to penicillin, I get my antibiotics from moldy blue cheese.
I havent had it, is it the southern type or the Yankee type
lol,
Of course nacho cheese! How could I forget :-)
I like extra sharp also. Its funny, happy always says that he hates cheese. Cant eat it at all except when it is melted like on pizza. But as the years go by, he starting to ask me to add more cheese to things. I made a broccoli casserole that just had some Ville Vida in it. He told me it wasnt easy enough and could I sprinkle in some extra sharp cheddar. And yet he still claims he doesnt like cheese! It only took 27 years. I wonder how long it will take to train him on a few other items?
My husband doesnt like change. For example I have to make the same stuffing that I have been making for 27 years every Thanksgiving. I would like to try something new, but he wont hear of it. And then when I make something a little bit different he will remind me that it wasnt the same as last time. Perhaps theres comfort in routine.
I’ll be in the dining car waiting.
Thank you very much.
But think of all the work they did! Seven boys, how long would always be mowed and the outside of the house painted and whatever else needed doing. That would be a dream family for a farmer.
My great grandmother came from a farming family but she was one of six daughters. The poor guy!
Oh, no no gun! It will be a long wait :-) the ETA on curing this tendonosis as several months at the minimum. About eight months at the most. Hopefully! Because I dont want surgery.
gub...
LOL, if he says he doesn’t like cheese that’s his story and he’s sticking to it.
Maybe it is comfort or ease. My feeling is if it ain't broke, why fix it. In most cases, if I like something, I like it. Why change & then be disappointed, thinking I should have stuck to what I like.
Especially with holiday foods. Generally we only have turkey once or twice a year. Why take a chance on something, and if I don't like it (or not as good as the traditional), have to wait for a year to get the kind I like.
I guess I'll just have to order a hot dog & beer in the meantime.
Be still and know ....
Most people are too busy to listen with their heart.
BTW the CHristian supply house is having their yearly sale this weekend. YUGE markdowns. At Freeman Field in Seymour. If you need religious gifts its worth the trip.
I did not find another. I had no time to waste on that. I wanted to get back overseas and that, not my back, was the priority. I went home and moved when I could and didn’t when it hurt. The back did slowly get better over the next year and was basically okay until 2010 when I fell in my kitchen. There were multiple injuries with that fall including fracturing a vertebrae and rupturing a second lumbar disk. I never did get better from that. The ex-pat doctor in Sentani was giving me extremely bad advice and I didn’t know to override her and seek additional help. Things continually worsened until the Saturday before Easter in 2013 when I was miraculously and suddenly healed. I have, now, no back problem at all.
Which brings me to your aggravation, Nikk-dear. I am sorry the pastor just blew off your amazing story. According to Hebrews 1:14, angels are spirits sent out to minister to us. That must be what you saw and experienced. Also, according to Hebrews 12:1 tells us we are surrounded by a great cloud of witnesses. That may very well also be angels, although I tend to believe it is those Christians who are in the Church Triumphant. Be that as it may, that pastor is certainly missing out on many of God’s blessings by his stubborn disbelief.
What can we do about it? If he preaches heresy, I would, reluctantly change churches. I would discuss it with him and the session first, but that would be the ultimate result without him changing. Before that, I would pray for him, that his eyes would be enlightened to see the height, and breadth, and depth of the riches of God’s blessings. It may take a while but the Holy Spirit can perform such a change.
I can just see it now.
Toss a coin.
