Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.

During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.

"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

I’m wondering about the gal behind Gov Abbott, in white shirt, with flag scarf....she didn’t applaud Gov Abbott....not even when he asked, Isn’t it great to pray to God Almighty?

Most of my life is in an area where we must filter water. Here are the steps to do it correctly.

1. If there are particles in the water, filter it into your large pot in some fashion. We line a colander or a funnel with a handkerchief or kerchief (yes, just cotton fabric, close weave), pour the water through. This filters out solid material.
2. Put water on heat, bring to full, rapid boil.
3. It has very recently been discovered that a twenty-minute time as per previous recommendations is not necessary. If you feel better with it boiling for a time period, let it boil for 20 minutes.
4. Let it cool before drinking, otherwise the water is safe to drink now.

This is the procedure I've been using since 1995. The area I live in is rife with typhus, and typhoid. Our family has never suffered from any problems with water prepared in this fashion. HTH

I just turned on the rally. I’m surprised at how quiet the crowd is, relatively speaking.

Our Nevada crowd was outdoors but I swear, watching it, the crowd shook the mountains.

Maybe the crowd is there solely for POTUS.

After boiling, the water could then be frozen for ice cubes. In such an instance, the automatic ice makers which most homes have are not helpful; their water isn’t boiled. So, freeze water in some container, then chop it up with a (clean!) hammer. We have done it that way when we didn’t have ice trays.
