Pres Trump shares East Room stage with Sergeant Major John L Canley, USMC (Ret.), recipient of today's Medal of Honor, for conspicuous valor under fire, coming to the aid of fellow Marines, in 1968 during the Vietnam War.

During the Tet Offensive in Vietnam, Sgt Major Canley "risked his own life to save the lives of those under his command," said Pres Trump, recounting Canley's bravery meriting the Medal of Honor.

"You don't look 80 years old to me," Pres tells Sgt Major Canley, commenting on the fitness of the retired Marine.

Andrews Air Force Base, Md.

AF1 arrived at Joint Base Andrews at 9:26 p.m. ET after an 86-minute, uneventful flight.
POTUS disembarked from AF1 at 9:35 p.m., then stepped into the motorcade that will take him back to the White House.
Handing off to in-town pool have a good night, everyone.

After an uneventful drive from JBA back across the Potomac, POTUS arrived back at the White House at 10:00 p.m.

We could not see him exit the motorcade and enter the West Wing through the west executive entrance.

A travel/photo lid was called at 10:02 but keep an eye out for a presidential proclamation lowering all flags on the WH and federal buildings in recognition of todays shooting.

Although the weather has improved, POTUS is motorcading back from Andrews because Halloween decoration preps now underway preclude Marine One landing on the South Lawn.

Motorcade is rolling back to Washington as of 9:37.

As a mark of solemn respect for the victims of the terrible act of violence perpetrated at The Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on October 27, 2018, by the authority vested in me as President of the UnitedStates by the Constitution and the laws of the UnitedStates of America, Ihereby order that the flag of the UnitedStates shall be flown at half-staff at the WhiteHouse and upon all public buildings and grounds, at all military posts and naval stations, and on all naval vessels of the Federal Government in the District of Columbia and throughout the UnitedStates and its Territories and possessions until sunset, October 31, 2018. I also direct that the flag shall be flown athalf-staff for the same length of time at all UnitedStates embassies, legations, consular offices, and other facilities abroad, including all military facilities and naval vessels andstations.
