Following last years flu season the worst in decades, killing an estimated 80,000 Americans health professionals have a strong warning for citizens as this years flu season arrives: get your flu shot.
The flu shot is incredibly important because it reduces your risk of contracting the flu, Michelle Lin, an emergency room doctor, and professor of emergency medicine at Mount Sinai in New York City, told Fox News on Thursday.
Blah, blah, blah

Thimerosal will not brake down in blood which has been tested.
The problem is no study has been done with Thimerosal and foods. It's well established Thimerosal brakes down with halogens such as Iodine. Iodine is found in milk, eggs, table salt, shellfish, cranberries and many other foods.
I get every new flu shot that comes out. I havent had the flu in years.
People die from willful ignorance about health prevention. They died from a fear of books.
Vaccines are invented for these people.
It’s straighforward. The next random person you meet. Ask a few questions. They will know nothing about human health. All they know came from the cable TV remote clicker, pummeling them with drug commercials.
It is projection. Vaccines are for the walking sick.
Vaccines are great for these people.
I become very ill for 2-3 days from flu shots; also was very sick last year from the pneumonia shot, fever and all. Then several months later I got the flu. Id rather have the flu than what I go through from the shots.
I’ve never had a flu shot.
I can’t recall the last time I had the flu - easily over a decade ago...and very rarely do I get a cold.
I do drink a LOT of water (60oz/day), eat a LOT of chicken and go to my fitness club 5-6 times a week - elliptical “HIIT” everyday and machines/weights 3days/wk.
“If it ain’t broken, don’t fix it”
I drive a school bus and I always get the flu shot because theres no telling what new pestilence the little cherubs are going to bring aboard next.
NO WAY am I ever getting a flu shot.
I looked up some stats. Roughly 6,000 people die each day in the US. Depending on the time of the year, one in ten of those is due to the flu or flu related illness like pneumonia. (Probably the majority of these are elderly people who would have died shortly of something else had the flu not gotten them first.)
Here’s an interesting article.

I got the flu shot once.
Four days later I’m in the hospital.
Doctors insisted it wasn’t related.
That’s the last time I got a flu shot.
The years i get the shot, i generally get a lot sicker and have more bouts of ‘colds”...haven’t had one for the last 3 years straight and only had single colds each year...
I have a lowered immune system. Won’t the shot itself make me ill?
Veterans can get free flu shots at VA Clinics or hospitals. Also at Walgreens via a special program for vets. Free of charge.
Also, there are two types of flu shots. Regular one and plus 65. I get one always.
Would also urge all those 65 and older to get the new Shingrix vaccine for shingles. Even if you got the older type of shingles vaccine.
more important than a flu shot - boost your immunity naturally and be sure to get good mount nightly sleep - that will protect you from variety of things not just possibly protect from some flu strains.
I got a very severe case of the flu every single winter from kindergarten thru my 2nd year of college. That last winter was the winter of 1983-84. I have NOT had the flu since than and have had ZERO flu shots....and never will get one. That’s 35 flu-free years.
I often wonder if I built up an immunity to the most common types after getting it for so many years?
I do take lots of vitamin D3 the last decade - especially when around lots of people.
“Get a flu shot every year. Cant remember when I last had the flu.”
I never have had one and I don’t remember the last time I had the flu.
“They died from a fear of books.”
Just what books? I mean, you’re dumb enough to denounce vaccines and you talk about books. Written by whom? Idiots like yourself where you just convince each other of non-scientific nonsense?
I get the flu shot every year, no problem. For logistical reasons I got the flu shot twice this year.
Typically a flu shot every other year for me ... this year I got a flu shot early as I was traveling to Europe and expected to be in close proximity to more people than usual i.e., airplanes, etc..
Had the shot 26 years in a row, mandatory in the military. Havent had the flu. Have kept on in retirement, all my kids get the shot every year. Seems like a no-brainer.
