Great views of the continental US at night are at the link. Then choose the size image you want.

Note North Dakota!

I saw this and thought I'd pass it on. Great views of the continental US at night are at the link. Then choose the size and type image you want.

In the GeoColor image, note North Dakota!

More correctly, perhaps I should have said “Great current satellite views of the continental US are at the link. The views at night can be especially impressive.”

For being a basket case of a destroyed island, Puerto Rico sure is lit up well.

ND is using NG flaring to heat up the cold air mass that is headed to the Southern Plains.

So, NASA lied. You can see the borders from space.

I like how you could almost lay a ruler on the map, and draw a direct line that would hit the city lights of Kansas City, Chicago, Detroit, Toronto, Ottawa, and Montreal, and not miss any of them.

Wow, what’s with the clouds flashing into existence off the west coast?

Winds were 120mph on the top of Mt Washington last night; the same winds blew though my place in the overnight, causing the power to go out.

So there were no lights in my 'hood.

I like how dark it is from the Champlain Valley to the coast of Maine. Good.

The HTML code to post images is one of the easiest to learn. Go to the top of the main page of the forum and click on the 'HTML Sandbox' link to learn how.
