Saturday Night Live has lampooned Senate Republicans, imagining them chugging beer in the Senate 'locker room' after successfully confirming Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh.
The new SNL episode on Saturday aired just hours after the Senate voted 50-48 nearly along party lines to confirm Kavanaugh, who was then sworn in to the Supreme Court.
The cold opened imagined the party-hearty hi-jinks of ecstatic Republican senators, led by a beer-chugging Lindsey Graham, portrayed by Kate McKinnon.
'How amazing is this? We made a lot of women real worried today, but I'm not getting pregnant so I don't care,' said McKinnon's Graham, as Montell Jordan's song 'This Is How We Do It' pumped in the background.

This only confirms how effective Collins’ speech was.
Stopped watching so long ago I cant remember when. Probably the 1980s. The only thing I know about it now is what I read here on FR.
Eviscerate?
Nah, the only thing that SNL has eviscerated in the last 20 years is the very concept of comedy.
No one will remember the buffoons on SNL.
Exactly. They always poke fun at what scares them and/or what they know was effective against them.
I liked SNL up until the mid 80s and gave up. It wasn’t funny any more.
It’s safe to say, with just two or three exceptions...SNL hasn’t been funny since the mid-1990s. I would even suggest that their actual peak was the first year (1975). But it’s the same way with late night TV since Leno retired. You go back to the Carson years, and his only political jokes always had something to do with politicians and their golf-game.
It’s not even comedy writing anymore. They’re just rehashing old soviet era sloganeering. “Let’s exterminate the mad dogs of capitalism, who want to tear to pieces the flower of our new antifa nation!” *laugh track*
An element of truth is required for comedy to work. SNL fails to be funny, now consistently. That might change, if they get some good writers, and step outside their bubble, but I doubt it will happen. They are on the downward slope, to cancellation.
And people tune into a “comedy show” for this?
SNL would not accept good writers work if not critical of Republicans. Time for Fox network to try a competitive comedy skit show. Tim Allen as host.
SNL, MSNBC nightly programming, whats the difference?
Both are hysterical to laugh at, not with.
SNL: Some Nutty Libs. Remember when comedians were actually funny?
Past tense...they WERE funny, now it’s cheap shots.
SNL is a liberal abomination. I hope the RINOs whom they portrayed take note at how quickly the left will turn on you.
xnl is the opiate of the LIB lunatics.
Hmm. Is that show STILL on?
Maybe we at FR should have one poor smuck who watches it (not me, I don’t want the cooties), so as to report back to those who want to keep track of the slime. That way we won’t add to their ratings and not get contaminated by it’s mediocre rot.
I know that for some it is as hard to resist watching it as it would be to not watch a train wreck, but for the sake of goodness self control could be exercised.
For some it is the pull to watch the shocking. They manipulate the unwary into watching them through the ploy of being shocking. Don’t be manipulated. Plus their brand of shocking got old and oh so predictable long years ago
