With that said, "they need to be destroyed", metaphorically like Emperor Hirhito was on the Deck of the Missouri surrendering destroyed, and to realize like the Emperor that their wanton ways needs to be changed, can't behave like this no more.

That is the kind of awaking they need metaphorically and politically. The problem is they are probably not as introspective, or realistic as the old Emperor was.

Conservatives, generally, are just too nice to fight this enemy. We don’t use lying, cheating, manipulation, wiretaps, character assassination, etc. to accomplish goals. There is no compromise with liberals, there is no middle ground. We have to stop coddling their opinions, trying to understand them, working with them to achieve non-partisan solutions, etc. THEY MUST BE DEFEATED. We cannot allow them to achieve power again.
