True. I wonder if that’s a lifelong tactic, or something in her coaching / acting lessons before the hearing.
I think she’s up to her eyeballs in this effort to take down Trump via Kavanaugh — a co-instigator. Her little Prissy - Butterfly McQueen act doesn’t ring true to me.
She doesn’t need to be investigated.
Background checks include comments from other people, which will be included in what is provided to the Senate.
If she had a reputation for partying and sleeping around, it could very easily come out in the interviews that the FBI has with any of Kavanaugh’s classmates who actually knew her.

It makes me so angry is that nobody is doing a thorough background check on her. (I don’t want the FBI because their Mission Statement is to sabotage Trump.)
Committee members should have made a Flake-y deal of their own. Agree to a week’s delay to investigate Kavanaugh, with the stipulation that there be a concurrent investigation of Ford. Investigation to be done by Secret Service or private investigator.

I’ve heard the terms, 4chan, 8chan, and Reddit, but I don’t know anything about them. But if they’re experts at finding info about Ford that is supposed to be scrubbed, I like it.

They looked intentionally scratched and super ill-fitting. The eyes tell all. She hid her eyes. No adult professional woman speaks like a child. I can not imagine her as being successful in any job. I am 8 years older than Dr. Ford. She looks 10 years older than I do. Why? We both have similar jobs. No hard physical work, good health care and money should have her looking much younger. I hate to speculate, but....

I don’t know how old she is, but I’m 70 and graduated in ‘66. She must’ve graduated in the mid-’80s. I look SO much younger than she does.

Hand-held film cameras? Some. But being recorded on film wasn’t “cool” nor trendy for teens - that was something their parents and grandparents did on holidays.
The richer neighborhoods around DC would be near certain to even have a few Beta-VHS cameras at the time. (The VHS/Beta wars ramped up after 1975.)

She came across as an overaged Valley Girl. The “uptalking” and annoying “vocal fry” that so many young women use now. I think it started with the Kardashians.
Oh I agree. I just don’t think the voice was only for the benefit of the hearing.
My guess is that she normally speaks this way.
Ford is like Obama. She could only show her fake emotion while reading her script with the emotions indicated.
