I was watching Tucker Carlson and came across this creepy but totally hilarious commercial.
It is so funny at the end because if we were in that guy's place I am sure we would scream my head off too. Because coming across a talking pumpkin head would indeed be a scary as hell thing!
IHOP always makes me think of Rachel Corrie.
My friend and I saw this on Sunday. We tried not to laugh, but after 5 seconds of trying to play it cool, we busted out in laughter. If it makes you laugh, it’s funny. Don’t matter if it’s stupid or not!
Watched the little video. The first image of breakfast looked mighty good!!
Guess I’m having breakfast for supper...at IHOP.
Its so good to see real humor
A few weeks back there were stories that ihop was changing its name to ihob. Doesn’t seem to have been done. I didn’t follow the story closely, so was that just a publicity stunt, or do they still plan to change the name to ihob?
It was a publicity stunt/campaign.
For IHOP, it was a publicity stunt. It worked. They were flooded with inquiries about the name change, and threats from those who said they would stop eating there because of it. Millions of eaters were talking about IHOP, far more than usual.
Now, I hear Dunkin Donuts is planning to remove the word
‘Donut’ from their ads. I suspect that too is a publicity stunt. It makes even less sense for them to change the name than with IHOP. “I’m going to what? I’m going to ‘Dunkin’?”
Thanks, just lost track of that one. I did see a news spot about Dunkin Donuts dropping Donut. Guess we’ll see if that is another publicity stunt.
I dunno about that; Dunkin Donuts has had a slogan for a while that “America Runs on Dunkin”. With their bigger focus on coffee and their new breakfast sandwiches (eggs and bacon on waffles; apparently really good) it makes sense to me to drop “Donuts” since they’re a lot more than just doughnuts now.
In one of their commercials, they say it was a publicity stunt.
Agreed. I still haven't gotten over this one.
