Along with blazing Trump hatred, perhaps part of the bias against Kavanaugh is because these people are so dirty themselves that they cannot believe someone might have lived a clean and upright life

You are exactly correct. The left also cannot believe that Trump is honest. He lived in the world of contracts, where you took at least a financial hit if you violated a contract's terms. In the world of politics, they even write laws protecting themselves from any penalty for dishonesty.
