Good morning.

The president is on the move from Trump Tower at 904 am on this muggy, damp day in New York.

Pool could not see the president before we left.

POTUS arrived at the UN at 910 am. We did not see the president but did see lots of people, some holding up their phone cameras, waiting for the motorcade to pass so they could cross streets.

Ive asked the White House for excerpts of his remarks to the Security Council this morning and will advise if I hear back.

First up this morning is the bilat with PM Netanyahu, which is where were heading now.

Pool was ushered into the meeting with PM Netanyahu at 936 am.

Seating was set up similarly to the other bilats weve seen so far. The president, in blue tie, sat on Netanyahus left. Pompeo, Bolton, Kushner, Shine also seated on US side.

Asked about the Mideast peace deal, Trump said he expects to have something in the next two to three to four months.

Were working along on that.

I really believe something will happen. It is a dream of mine to be able to get that done prior to the end of my first term.

I like two-state solution, Trump said. Thats what I think works best.

Asked about Europe working to get around Iran sanctions, Trump said:

I think the Europeans will behave very nicely. Just watch.

He repeated the administrations often used line about taking the embassy move off the table. He said he believes Palestinians will come back to the table 100 percent.

Trump said at the top that Israel is being aggressive on defense because it has to be. We are with you. We are with Israel 100 percent.

Very much in favor of what Israel is doing as far as their defense is concerned, Trump said.

Netanyahu thanked Trump for his strong words against Iran in yesterdays UNGA speech.

The president spoke as he entered the UN — on Venezuela, Kavanaugh, North Korea and other issues — but the pool was staging elsewhere during those remarks.

A hush fell over the U.N. Security Council meeting as Trump entered the ornate room at 10:20 a.m.

Trump called the 8,362nd meeting of the Security Council to order about a minute later. Representatives are sitting around the horseshoe desk with staff behind them. Pompeo, Bolton, Kelly and Haley are behind Trump. The gallery, where the pool is sitting, is about half full.

The president is beginning his statement, and has turned to the horrible, one-sided Iran deal.

They needed cash, he said. We gave it to them.

The president accused China of interfering in U.S. elections because of his stance on trade.

They dont want me or us to win because I am the first president to ever challenge China on trade.

We dont want them to interfere in our upcoming election.

That’s about the size of my HS class. The boys didn’t smoke but had Skoal tobacco cans in their back pockets for show.
Lots of drinking and sex but nowhere at the levels of Holton Arms. Two people in my class didn’t drink and I was one of them. I was the designated driver in college. I was given a rum and coke “here, you have to try this” once in college. Ok, twice if counting someone else’s strawberry daiquiri but didn’t drink either after one sip. Ick.
