Brooklyn performing-arts school drops auditions in diversity push
NY Post ^ | September 20, 2018 | Noah Bressner

Brooklyn’s District 15 isn’t just barring middle schools from selecting students based on their grades — the area’s lone performing-arts middle school is now forbidden from holding auditions.

Entry into New Voices School of Academic & Creative Arts in Sunset Park will now be determined solely by lottery — with no pirouettes or piano-playing required.

Love that movie. Back when blacks could make fun of themselves.

Whew, I have a chance! I was worried my sad attempts at stick figures wouldn’t get me in.

Call them "Minimalist Deconstructivist Figure Studies."

This is de facto saying that minorities are not as good as those students that passed auditions previously.

They have always made that de facto admission. They had to bus in white students so that their smartness would presumably rub off on the minority students. Minorities cannot be expected to comply with voter ID laws because they are too dense to get an ID, etc.

This decision is going to reduce the value of being in that school, I guarantee you. Word will get out that if you say you ‘graduated’ from Brooklyn Performing Arts, that probably means you went there as a last resort. You went there because you are not good enough to pass any standardized tests.

You went there because you were not very confident of your own skills or talents, and just wanted to move out of the family home into a Party College with all kinds of Safe Rooms. Local businesses will know that too. When they see BPA on your resume, they will know there is a good chance they are dealing with someone of meager talent who is not disciplined or ready for a fast paced schedule.

> When did singers become “artists”?

I’m sure it happened long before, but Madona is the first I remember getting that type of description for a singer or individual songs. Pink Floyd, The Who, The Beatles, and others had “artistic” compliments applied to them but more for larger compilations (movies, albums) which carried artistic themes through many scenes/movements and a bigger presentation than just 3 minutes of pleasant (or not) noise/lyrics followed by an unrelated 3 minutes of more noise.

This is de facto saying that minorities are not as good as those students that passed auditions previously.

That is what is called "the soft racism of the left"; meaning that without the help of (usually white) liberals minorities can not excel or advance on their own.

It boggles my mind wondering why minorities, especially young black males, have not risen up and killed every liberal they could get their hands on. I mean, think about it, how badly would you want to strike back at someone who constantly told you you were incapable of doing anything, told your women that they didn't need you, just some government program, and treated you like a disposable prop after every election cycle?
