Box released the video to let residents know exactly what happened that morning.
Box said they had moved to that Abilene home in April, but they had never talked to the Millers until the morning of Sept. 1. The Millers were next-door neighbors.
We had thrown out a twin mattress in a dumpster in our alley a few days before the shooting, Box said. You have to have the mattress in the dumpster or they will not haul it away.
On the morning of Sept. 1, Box and Howard were in the backyard when they saw the mattress was on their property. Howard tossed it back in the dumpster.
Box said thats when John Miller came to the alley, pulled the mattress out of the dumpster and tossed it back on Howards property.

No kidding...
There are things worth dying for, a mattress is not one of them....
“Which will no doubt be used against me if I ever am nominated for SCOTUS.”
Just don’t violate any Queens, and you should be good to go...
if someone pulls a gun on you go inside and call the police, not a good idea to yell at them.
One minor detail:
Abilene police arrived a few minutes later responding to a report of shots being fired in the neighborhood.
Remember, the Police are only a few minutes away.
Howard was unbelievably stupid and was lathered up into such a stupid rage he failed to realize that he had two men standing in front of him that were anticipating and looking forward to killing someone. Their nonchalant demeanor is as incredible as his actions when facing men holding guns. The Millers are evil and guilty in their hearts of murder, but will likely walk based on Howard’s words and actions.
Stupidity kills.
Aaron Howard needed killing.
Horrible.
Strange things can happen between people, especially when they live too close to each other. It’s always a good idea to step away from such a situation, at least for a time.
I just hope Mr. Lambert wasn't around....
I've rented dumpsters in the past for contruction projects and it is a real pisser to find that someone has filled up your dumpster with their trash. For one thing, you pay for the dumpster, plus round trip delivery time, emptying fee, and a tonnage fee, maybe $40 to $60 per ton. There is no such thing as a free lunch, and someone is paying for someone else's trash when it's put into an unauthorized dumpster.
Still, it's not worth shooting someone over. Not many things are worth shooting someone over other than life or death situations. The Miller's should have called the sheriff if there was a problem with the dumpster.
Yikes!
I couldn’t see that part.
Like I said, that part of the recording was jumbled — to me anyway.
