Well, he....consistently made terrible decisions on where to throw the ball.

He’s a good Trump supporter though. He’s suddenly very popular cause people love him on his wife’s reality show. LOL.

AH! Yeah, I’ve been a Chargers fan since the ol’ AFC West days of Don Coryell, Fouts, Muncie, etc.

I like Phillip, and would NEVER wish Ryan Fitzpatrick on a team as a long-term staring QB, ever. I saw him up close and personal in Houston. Look at the revolving door Rivers has had at WR, except for Floyd (who’s two years gone now). Seriously - when you meet your receivers in the freakin’ huddle for the first time, it’s not a good sign. Nor is it good when your offensive linemen have to introduce themselves to each other before the game (a few years ago).

I’m NOT a Norv fan, nor was I Mike Smiley (Riley) fan... Not sold on Lynn, yet.

The kicking game cost them 3 games last year, and one or two this year (so far).

And, nice to ‘meet’ ya, Blue Highway! Bolt up!

Cutler was, and is, a chump.

Rivers isn’t. I don’t know what it is about him that irks you BH, but I most certainly would rather have him than He-li Manning. How, Big Ben? Maybe... but no way I’d trade Rivers for Manning (either of them)... Manning the elder son had a knock on him about not winning the big game, etc. Eli is a punk, plain and simple. Ben’s had his problems, but has been an excellent QB for the Steelers.

I wish the Chargers never traded Drew Brees. He was the man in SD and I was pissed they got rid of him and Rivers was their answer. Hell Rivers can't shine Brees shows even. Brees even as an older QB is way better than Rivers will ever be.

I watched the game between the Rams and Chargers. Typical Chargers pathetic game play. Bone headed moves. The INT in the end zone and he decides to run it out to the 1yd line (are you kidding me????) Then that sets up for the blocked punt TD and injured the punter on top of that. Like I said typical Chargers. Chargers down by 15 and decide to go for a FG? WTF? Typical Chargers gameplay. After the game typical Rivers press conference laughing it up when he should be taking responsibility for his mistakes, and not be making the same stupid mistakes he's made for over 10 years now. Next week it is San Fran without Garapolo at QB, but somehow Rivers will keep the 49ers in the game when it should be a massacre.

I'm tired. But if my math is right, Pete wins the week at 9-7 and most of us suck!

Well done Pete. And Congrats to Enterprise and Darkangel for getting our first minority report wins of the year.

Feel from to leave Thursday (or all) picks in this thread I'm slow to get the new thread up.

What Cletus learned...game by game

Cleveland is lucky, Jets aren’t.
Pix: Against both unless Jets are at home.

Buffalo is better than Minnesota.
Pix: Home team for both

Cincy played on the rumor, FigNewtons bought on the news.
Pix: Home teams but watch Cincy

Denver is terrible.
Pix: Baltimore if home, shade from opposition if away.

Green Bay is better. Wha Hoppen, Big?
Pix: GB, home or away. Skins +@home

Philly rides the SB. They are that good but watch out for away games
Pix: ++Philly, noDolts at any venue.

Atlanta played up and didn’t win. Saints are real.
++Saints, + Falcs at home, nowhere else.

Houston is better than that. Giants? Not so much.
Pix: Houston, any venue. noGiants, any venue

Miami? Really?
Pix: Oakland if @ home - tossup away. Miami gets a beat down.

Yep..the neenerse THAT bad.
Pix: noNeeners. KC? Better at home buit can win on the road.

J’ville played up. Titans were, well, Titanic.
Take Jville, any venue. TitS? ^maybe^ at home.

I wavered on picking the Rams. They can make the playoffs.
Pix: I’ll consider them a wild-card team. Chargers? Home is a safe bet; road is a toss dependent on foe.

Sorry, Impy. ‘Zona wasn’t paying attention in class. The 1st Place Bears (huh? WTF!) will be looking up at the playoff contenders.
Pix: noBears. ‘Zona at home, 50/50 on road.

Sorry Bender, Dallas will make those cold-ones lukewarm. Good news is...the SeaHags will finish right next door to the Boys.
Pix: Boys at home, loss away. Hags? Who cares...let me know when the have paid attendance numbers.

My Chops beat the Patties? Anomaly ALert!
Pix: Lions...Patricia isn’t cool. Pats, any venue.

Stoolers played like they should but, they might be wild-card fodder.
Pix: Rothy, any venue. Tampa Baters, maybe home.

YMMV

Gadzooks, what a screwy weekend!

So, guess I'll take the Ewes Thursday night against the Viqueens but just watch the Old Fat Bitch get laryngitis and Los Angeles choke--

They didn’t trade Drew Brees.

He hurt his throwing shoulder (separated/dislocated it, and a muscle tear, too), in the last game of the season. They offered him a contract, with a low base and heavy on incentives - because they weren’t sure how his surgically repaired throwing arm was going to hold up (obviously, now, we know VERY well). The Chargers were 9 and 7 in 2005, Brees’ last season.

He signed with the New Orleans Saints as a free agent.

You go ahead and enjoy your anti-America kneeling heroes, I can’t and won’t.

So, 5 or 6 of the hundreds of NFL players are asshats, and you won’t support the ones that aren’t?

That’s the same thing as saying all gun owners are murderers because a very few actually kill people with their guns.

Or all police are bad because of the idiots who think it’s a get-out-of-jail-free ID.

Or that all black people are criminals because some actually are criminals.

It’s a multi-million dollar business calling itself a “sport”.

Who cares if someone doesn’t want to support it?
