“The Rachel Maddow Show” had its 10-year anniversary on September 8. For the week of September 10, 2018, she celebrated with her biggest audience ever.
Covering both literal and political storms and hosting a sit-down with Bob Woodward Tuesday, “Maddow” averaged 3.43 million total viewers each night, per live-plus-same-day ratings from Nielsen, with 667,000 of them coming from the coveted adults 25-54 demographic.

It’s a growing and dependable audience.
That was my first thought too. The lefties prefer hard-core impeachment porn. The relatively soft-core stuff peddled by CNN doesn’t quite do it for them.
Maddow has a captive audience of brain-dead people. They don’t know any better and will just listen without questioning anything.
Might as well have TV sets with Maddow on at cemeteries. Same kind of brain dead people, and they all vote.
He’s a hero to many on the left.
Just like Fox News thrives with a Democrat in the White House, msnbc does great with a republican in office. Not rocket science.

Wow, is MadCow consistently beating Sean Hannity in the ratings, or just occasionally?
Simple. There’s no hook in watching reward shows. People who are politcal junkies have their favorite shows and for the left, its Maddow.
It’s the 10 pm hour. Maddow is up against Laura Ingraham. I would never watch Maddow but Ingraham has been a disappointment. She has zero charisma and generally comes across as unpleasant, @Least to me.

Agreed. The more I watch Ingraham, the less I want to watch her. Even if she is not bad in intervieuws, her ritual butt-kissing of the token leftist(s) du jour is becoming unbearable.
No, Maddow is / has been on between 9-10 pm ET. I just checked my on-screen cable guide to be sure. Her show runs up against Sean Hannity every night.
I love Laura Ingraham's show overall. Very informative, and far less monotonous than 'Hannity' IMO. Sean is a true conservative, but sometimes watching his show is like 'Groundhog Day'. Same thing, night after night...
