For cryin’ out loud, a few British sailors get busted for brawling and peeing, big deal. Drop the charges, just boys being boys. Advise them to do their brawling, drinking, peeing in NYC or SF, where its legal. They can even do pot and better yet they can poop in the streets in SF.

At the tender young age of 17 or 18 I ‘stumbled’ in a bar called the ‘Seamans Club’ in Hong Kong.
Found out real quick that a Seaman such as I was NOT what ‘Seamans Club’ was there for.
Didn’t hang around long enough to ‘get in trouble’.
Then found that most ‘international’ ports had a ‘Seamans Club’ which was mostly manned by Merchants and a lot of Brits.... Good liberties could be had but ones timing was VERY important....
I agree. Who ever heard of a sailor getting drunk and rowdy? This is a completely unheard of event. What would our grandfathers ever think if this had happened during their youth? Oh wait.

In Hong Kong, us young Marines NEVER sat down with Royal Marines in the China Fleet Club. That was drink until the last man is standing.
I saw the beginning (1000) and the end (2200). Not a pretty sight, nor one for the faint of heart.
I was in Aruba in 1990 with my girlfriend from Barranquilla who had flown over to see me for a week.
The British Navy came into a music venue...a big club on 1B north of s downtown called the Crows Nest maybe....anyhow hundreds came in and got driunk quick and picking fights and pawing women like barbarians
No control no officers in charge just way out of control Brit seaman
The local cops came but were overwhelmed....30,000...sq ft with band or Dj and restaurant ....it was salsa and merengue and cumbia nite so my lady was happy
Well they zeroed in her fast ..
She was some kind of pretty....big green cat eyes yet slender and buxom and leggy.....perfection tank top and short cutoffs
Anyhow I got her to the DJ booth and we crowded inside with other patrons while this melee of cops and sailors went on
In about ten minutes in rushes probably 100 or so big strong looking guys from hippies to marine looking in fatigue cammo and with whistles and Alsatian dogs and more hand cuffs than I’ve seen this side of a Christopher street leather bar window
Man they stopped the sailors cold in about 10 minutes along with Aruba various police guys
I found out when we were talking to them later that they were Dutch Ro Marines and Expeditionary and other SOF stuff who both train there and station to deploy from there when needed for drug stuff mostly

I think that place was long since torn down....the navy boys were remanded to ship for the stay except for ones caught hitting cops who picked up charges
