“You generally dont arm one until ready to use it.”
I think it depends on what part of Connecticut the woman was from. Some areas...heck, you may need one at a moment’s notice and can’t be bothered with taking the time to arm it.
She lost out on a Darwin by surviving and already having kids.
Bed Bath and Kaboom.
I have it on good authority that’s a good way to smuggle dope into Islamic countries. Or was back in the 1980s.
Dynamite sounds a lot more scary than firecracker...you can always trust our news media to lie and distort the truth.
I've heard that works when you're fishing.
I always have a stick of dynamite next to my emergency candles. Dont you?
These are called seal bombs where I come from. Commercial fishermen throw them into the water to keep the seals away from the nets and eating the salmon.
Have you seen the pneumatic caps and detonator?
Candle wicks and dynamite fuses are very different. Anly a fool would confuse them. Nobody would would put a short fuse and a cap into a stick of dynamite unless there were malicious intent.
I think there is more to the story.
That’s what I’m thinking. An M-80 or something. I guess if the lights were out I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt. And as bad as blowing your fingers off is - doing it in the dark to add to the stress and difficulty of first aid!
At my daughter’s college they have a website for students that I get notified on. Books for sale, apartments, etc. The other day some girl posted: “Lost my keys! Does anybody have a Ford Explorer XLT so I can make a copy?”
I asked my college-aged son if he thought she was serious or just goofing around. He shook his head with a smirk “No - she’s serious.”
“Oh here they are. And they’re all the way from Rome!”
Tip, when storing dynamite, make sure you don't put it near the candles...
No. Never have.
Scary!
Yah, a birthday cake for a teenager could take out a city block!
Her fingers were blown off by the blasting cap.
Had it been dynamite, her arm would be gone
Maybe 4 firecrackers for the bang. Still even holding onto a single firecracker when it explodes is going to hurt.
When our family put in a pool - actually a steel stock tank they had dynamite to take out some granite.
I stole a couple of sticks and some blasting caps and kept them together in my lockbox in my room.
I do not know how my dad found them but I can assure you I got the beating of my life for that one.
My family and I keep open sticks of dynamite in the house. Dont all of you do the same too?
