FULL TITLE: Brett Kavanaugh stares down his critics as he finally gets his say at chaotic SCOTUS confirmation - as 70 are arrested and howling protesters dressed as Handmaids force his daughters to be escorted out for their own safety

Brett Kavanaugh vows to be an 'umpire - a neutral and impartial arbiter' on the Supreme Court as the first day of his confirmation hearing was disrupted by protesters and Democrats alike.

'A good judge must be an umpire—a neutral and impartial arbiter who favors no litigant or policy,' Kavanaugh told senators on the Senate Judiciary Committee on Tuesday afternoon, over two hours after he was originally scheduled to speak.

Day one of his time before the Senate committee was interrupted continuously by protesters expressing concerns about his record on abortion rights and Democratic senators demanding the hearing be postponed so they could have more time to read the documents from his time in the government.

Seventy protesters were arrested, according to a statement from U.S. Capitol Police.

The day grew dragged on and grew so contentious that Kavanaugh's two young daughters were escorted from the room although they returned in the afternoon to hear their father's opening statement.

'My judicial philosophy is straightforward. A judge must be independent and must interpret the law, not make the law. A judge must interpret statutes as written. A judge must interpret the Constitution as written, informed by history and tradition and precedent. In deciding cases, a judge must always keep in mind what Alexander Hamilton said in Federalist 83: 'the rules of legal interpretation are rules of common sense,'' Kavanaugh said.

The gutless coward Republican senators should have tasered the seditionist disruptors and the Demonicrat senators who showed they hate the United States. Then the GOP should have had the tasered trash dragged out of the hearing room.

I think the more, the merrier. More chaos. More infantile tantrums. More Hollywood costumes.

All it does is make the “resistance” look moronic, and drive more normies into the Arms of Trump.

Good stuff.

I wonder why the Senate & Congress don’t install a plexiglass sound barrier across the balcony with biped in sound. The idiots could hear but could not be heard.

There’s nothing a Justice Kavanaugh could do to stop abortions.

Abortion regulation is constitutionally up to the states.

Even a Constitutional amendment outlawing abortion will require state ratification.

There is a religion that considers women chattle, suitable only for breeding, and requires them to hide inside shapeless robes.

They just have the wrong religion. Starts with I......

So abortion is a law if I understand what you are positing here and is in the Constitution. Maybe I missed that but I am asking you to clarify.I thought it was a judicial decision by the SC

Did I read you correctly?

Please illuminate me on this as I never knew it was in the Contitution

70 .... howling protesters dressed as Handmaids

How did the crazy people get inside the hearing? They were dressed like crazy people yet they were allowed inside. Clearly a coordinated attack.
