Scientists now believe the earth is in for a big freeze due to the sun being totally void of sunspots for more than half of 2018. The sun has been completely free of sunspots for a total of 133 days this year, scientists are reporting.

Human activities caused the reduction in sunspots (/climate “science”).

John Casey has been predicting this for several years and written about it in his book: ‘Cold Sun”.

The lack of sun spots is as a result of man made global
warming. Obviously America's fault and the US should pay higher taxes to resolve the peril to the planet.

QUICK!!! Pass some more restrictive laws on the productive citizens - limit the number of miles they can drive. Increase their taxes so that they pay their "fair share*" Limit house sizes so that we can all live in a
tiny house (except for government bureaucrats of course.) Institute a wealth tax so that savings (from those who have saved) can be plundered
It's a crisis! We need to do it now. OTHERWISE WE'LL ALL DIE!
*What's the government's "fair share" of what I worked for?

There is no way that human activity on our little globe called Earth can have any effect on something as far away and large as our Sun.
I too am so very sick of the GlowBull Warming nonsense.

There are no guarantees with these solar downturns. During the Maunder minimum, temperatures were generally 2-3 deg lower than before or afterwards, but not every winter was cold. In the Dalton minimum (roughly 1795 to 1835) it was a similar story. The frequency of cold winters rises from the usual 2 or 3 out of 10 to more like 4 or 5 out of 10 but note that even then, there are frequently average or even mild winters.
Trying to take long-term solar trends as a foundation for single season forecasting is a bit of a crap shoot.
As for any conclusions about ice ages or even little ice ages, there may be enough fact in the AGW fiction that (perversely) the warming will cancel out the cooling and we’ll be left with dull normalcy.

Where's the Freeper who had that long list to debunk the climate change crowd?
But seriously, if the Sun experiences another Maunder Minimum like quiet period, we could have a major economic disaster because agricultural seasons could be shortened. Hope the world loves eating more wheat, because a colder climate will hurt a lot of production of grains that depend on warmer weather (e.g., rice).
