Yeah, FOX is going to be a no go zone for days. I think Hannity might be safe, but the TV is off for me until this thin is over. Anyone know when the funeral will be over?
I put Fox News on for mom (who has Alzheimer’s) last night and the love fest was so insane she was barely not crying and kept repeating what a great man he was. I let her have it on for about an hour then I switched to a sports channel. For the next two weeks she is going to see a story somewhere and tell me sadly the “news” that John McCain has passed away. I can’t even really converse about it. I could barely agree with her that it was “sad.”

I’m so glad I don’t watch tv. My blood pressure would be skyrocketing after even two minutes of fawning over Mr. Thumbs Down.
It’s for that reason that I’m not watching any of it.
The truth is on the internet. However who has more influence with the muddled middle of the electorate that will determine the critical 2018 election. That is the bottom line.
What I see in John McCain is a seriously flawed population in Arizona. The people who voted for him should be branded on their faces.
A friend of mine on FB posted something like, “Prayers for John McCain and family.”
I replied, “May God have mercy on his soul.”

What one needs to understand regarding Senator McCain is that the big media companies were always his friends because McCain was involved in Congress in committees that regulated the media.
He was close to the media and the media returned the favor giving him better publicity than other Republicans and glowing praise when he attacked Republicans and Donald Trump.
Thanks for the info. We don’t watch much TV news outside of One America and the weather. So really, our impression is off of the web. It’s not good.
I did vote for him in 2008. Wasn’t much of a choice. When he learned he had brain cancer, he should have resigned. That would have been the honorable thing to do. We needed that vote. And his scuttle of the take-down of Obamacare truly disgusted me. I’ve been sour to this guy forever, even when he let the dems walk all over him. And the GWB let them do the same. Death comes to us all. I’m not sad in the least. In my opinion, he did not go out with dignity. He went out, trying to settle a score.
I think what we are trying to do here is send a message to the remaining RINOs that, if they don't clean up their acts, they will be remembered in the same way when they pass away.
