Attorney General Jeff Sessions in a rare statement Thursday said that the Justice Department “will not be improperly influenced by political considerations.”
In one of his toughest statements following criticism from President Trump, Sessions defended his leadership of the Justice Department, which has come under increasing attack from the president and his allies....
“While I am Attorney General, the actions of the Department of Justice will not be improperly influenced by political considerations. I demand the highest standards, and where they are not met, I take action,” Sessions said in a direct response to Trump's interview on Fox.
“However, no nation has a more talented, more dedicated group of law enforcement investigators and prosecutors than the United States," Sessions said.

If by some miracle the GOP keeps the House and Senate in the mid-terms, it will be critical for Trump to accept Sessions’s obligatory resignation in 2020, after Trump is re-elected. Then maybe we can replace this slow-moving, do-nothing, embarrassing, sorry ass excuse of a top cop with somebody who will be competent in the AG job.
Sessions is a disaster. Easily the worst mistake Trump has ever made in his life. Bigger than any mistake as a real estate developer. Bigger than any marital mistake he has ever made. Bigger than any financial mistake he has ever made.
Sessions is a tried and true Swamp Creature and a real albatross around Trump’s neck.
What a calamity he is.

How long is PDJT going to tolerate this? Fire him, already ( and put a good person in there that will terminate the mueller- rosenstein farce immediately). Shooting off twitters about sessions is entertaining but doesn’t do the job.

Sessions is worse than a coward or a traitor. He is a bureaucrat. Everything is by the book, incredibly slow, crossing every “t” and dotting every “i”. Never taking a risk. Keep your head down so you never really risk being called on the carpet. Study everything for months and months deliberately before making a milquetoast decision.
He is a died in the wool bureaucrat, which is disaster for Trump. Sessions is proving to be the worst choice for AG Trump could possibly have made.
Is Trump the only president ever to have hired a mortal enemy as atty. gen.?
And the AL Republican Party will never again be like it was once perceived.
I am at the point where I am wishing that Sessions died suddenly in a horrible car wreck or airline crash. I hope he is murdered in a mugging gone wrong. I hope he takes a fall that either kills him or puts him into a coma. I hope he suffers a massive heart attack or stroke. I hope he falls overboard and drowns. I hope he gets caught in a tornado. I hope he falls down a staircase.
I’m at the point that I really wish nature would act to remove Jeff Sessions, and I’m not choosy about the method, no matter how horrible or painful. I just want him gone.
It is not personal. I don’t wish him ill will. I just wish him gone. It would be great if he had a mild stroke that was sufficient to require him to step down and rehab full time, and he comes back from it 100% after Trump’s 2nd term is done.
I don’t wish him harm per se, personally. I just want him gone. I just want nature to remove him from being able to serve as AG.
I am that desperate at this point.

Sessions has been very busy chasing pot smokers. It is higher priority for him. He doesn’t care if congress is being stonewalled by DOJ on documents they have subpoenaed.
Sessions was a back bencher in senate. Name one important bill bearing his name. He has never run anything as large and as swampy as DOJ.
FIRE SESSIONS ASAP. He is incompetent and a pushover by his lunch-mates at DOJ.
