Cohen: Trump told me to pay off women to influence the election
President Trump’s personal fixer Michael Cohen admitted in court Tuesday that he paid two women hush money — “at direction of the candidate,” a clear reference to Trump — to influence the 2016 presidential election.
Trump’s name was not uttered but the implication was clear as Cohen admitted he cut a $150,000 check in 2016 to protect “the candidate.”
“On or about summer 2016, in coordination and with and at the behest of the candidate, I and the CEO of a media company worked together to keep an individual with information that would be harmful to the candidate from publicly disclosing this information … under which she received compensation of $150,000,” Cohen said in Manhattan federal court.

Next it will be illegal for any non-Democrat candidate to try and influence his election in any way.

Remember that for years Congress had Tax payer funded slush funds for paying of sexual abuse claims. Think about that. This is all manipulated BS.
I can’t wait to see the documents associated with this case. From all I’ve read Cohen filed two bogus invoices and when caught he pointed a finger of blame at Trump. This was a plea bargain, not a jury finding. By the end of the week things will be clear and I’m thinking there is very little here.

Exactly. As long as they can’t prove campaign funds were used, it’s not illegal. And they didn’t force anything. The implication is they made offers to the parties for their silence and the parties agreed.

This is horrifying, because no Presidential candidate in American history has ever paid anyone to try to influence the election.
Right. Congress has been paying them off for years. And just because someone is paying does not even mean they are guilty. During the election the democrats were manufacturing sexual abuse claims against trump. So one might pay some of them off to make them go away.
Hillary ran TV ads in multiple states. That seems like an attempt to “influence the election”. Lock her up!

In any situation. . .paying someone off is far better for the person than physically silencing them as in “goodbye”.
