I was going to say, any city.
Or Baltimore MD?
I look at these cities and....I see the faces of Barack Hussein Obama and the Democrat Party who for the eight years of Obama as POTUS and the fifty years of Democrat political control over these pig pen ghettos and, I wonder how any African-American could ever vote Democrat in his or her entire life.
These cities are the Obama/Democrat slave plantations run by Obama & company to keep American Blacks prisoned in economic slave environments. Sad & Sickening from A-Z!!! Go figure!!! Go Trump, Go MAGA, for “ALL” Americans!!!
“A lot of places would kill for this historic building stock, but because of its location, no one will touch it.”
The historic Pullman neighborhood on Chicago’s South Side appears to be heading in this direction. I was shocked to see recently that there are foreclosures there and the neighborhood seems to be falling apart. Not that long ago it was a target location for people who wanted to restore a piece of history. Unfortunately, the areas next to it are gang infested and dangerous.
I remember Stockton was in the news for excessive gov salaries. I would guess the other towns are the same abusive spending situations.
This should be the most intuitive argument against socialism. The useful idiots don’t realize that to spread the wealth around the gov has to get the money first so your just bein charitable to them.
“Like many inner cities, the Whites (or White ethnics) were displaced by Blacks in those neighborhoods in the 1950s...”
They weren’t displaced, they fled when the first black families started moving in. They knew what was going to happen. The decay of the neighborhood, the drugs, the crime, destruction of the schools, the drop of property values, the race to sell. Get out while you can.
my aunt/uncle owned many buildings in Cleveland in the late 40’s and early 50’s.
a black gentleman told my uncle to sell, get out because “ the n!gg@*s are coming” (up from the south) so that sounds about right.
It’s the Bronx (Not Bronx) and it is not particularly gentrified yet although it has always has some nice neighborhoods. The Grand Concourse is still not gentrified. Inwood is much better now but it is not the Bronx.
That’s the more upscale part of town.
Tony Soprano tells you What.
Camden and Trenton are very, very sad. It hurts my heart to see and Trenton is the state capital. No pride from either Repubs or Dems.
Isn’t New Haven, other than the university, a sanctuary neighborhood held by illegals?
“Wheres that and how is Chicago not on the list?”
Chicago is actually livable if:
A. You know what you are doing/where you are going
B. You don’t mind living under a filthy, corrupt government, high taxes, obnoxious laws and regulations
C. You are lucky
The question is what democrat controlled city doesn’t belong on the list.
I thought it was "The" Bronx Zoo?
Anyway New York Craphole wasn't ever all that great, or hadn't you heard?
"Blood in the streets in the town of New Haven..."
Balwmer is missing, too.
Probably too obviously racist to mention.
Hmmmm. That's a good one. What do they have in common? Que the Jeopardy theme tune.
Ah ha! I've got it! It is something all the other cities on that list have in common: DNA.
