She needs to drop the half&half, and switch to raw whole milk.
Pasteurized dairy products are deadly.
160g carbs a day ???? And this is what they call low carb???? Holy crap, that would be like me adding 6 Krispy Kreme donuts to my daily diet!!!!!!!
What a joke.
Can you see my previous posts on this thread? I know exactly what is bothering your friend. To the keto diet she needs to feed her gut biome some resistant starch and I laid out how in another post I just wrote to another keto guy.

The garlic is better for you raw!
Just chew it while sipping water. Most powerful antibiotic on the planet.
It will clear out pnuemonia within a week. (usually quicker)
My son in law has done what you did and he’s lost about 70 lbs. Meanwhile, I have a friend pushing this Octavian diet???? She loses some 5+ pounds per week!!! Seems a little high to me as you’d think slower is better.
High protein diet is a misnomer. The only thing we really need to survive would be protein (our bacterial biome needs some carbs or starch) in its natural state, which always comes with the right amount of fats. But high is ridiculous. Every person depending on size and activity level needs x amount of protein, and it would not be high, to keep going with strength, growth, function. People might eat more than they need. But a serious athlete might do best on a diet with a relatively high weight of protein in it. No one needs more protein than their body needs to keep itself going.
That's what the diet is .
Yes, I was being a little facetious. I know that life expectancy is determined by a lot more than simply one’s diet.
I’d agree that genetics has a lot to do with it, and that if you live long enough, you’re going to die of something. I don’t worry too much about what I eat, but try to stay fairly active. Am I capable of doing what I could 40 years ago? Hell no, but I do get through each day without (much) assistance.
You will have some vivid dreams and a bit more well being
When I take a B vitamin supplement my dreams become epic length Hollywood productions.
Grass fed meat/chicken and dairy is best...avoids some of nasties of cafo raised animals
Well, I guess that answers my question, then.
/eye-roll
Sounds like the old push toward vegan. Whatever.
I cant eat nuts so I will stick to good meat from healthy animals.
Lettuce is worthless as fiber too.
No reason for paleo or keto to be particularly high protein.

Nothing can answer a question that begs beyond reality.
Keep your eyes rolling, they can’t see anything anyway.
Meat is poison if you have gout.
These guys weren’t low carb in any sense of the word, and comparing low-carb and regular-carb guys of the same weight is a FALSE comparison. You have to compare the 210 low carb guy with the 275 high-carb guy because that’s what low carb does: gives fat guys (and to a lesser extent fat women) a hack that lets them achieve and maintain weightloss that balanced-macro diets have never been able to deliver.
I only eat animal sourced foods: meat, eggs, milk, drink water & use salt.
Breakfast these days is 6-8 oz of ground beef fried in bacon grease and/or butter with 4-5 strips worth of bacon.
Lunch will be the same except I will use a different brand of bacon for a taste variance.
Dinner is always 3 fried or scrambled eggs with 6-oz of some fried or broiled meat. Mostly beef but we do have pork chops on Sundays & we usually eat a good ribeye or new york strip once a week & the rest of the week is steaks cut from a larger chunk of london broil.
Most evenings after 8pm I will fry up 4-5 slices of bacon.
I only eat when I am hungry. I only eat what my body wants & that makes me feel good. I eat as much as I want at every meal. The numbers will vary from day to day depending on how hungry I am.
If I feel sluggish through the day (almost never happens) I will eat some pemmican & that always gives me the boost I need to make it to the next meal.
Sure, whatever you say.
