William H. McRaven, a retired Navy admiral, was commander of the U.S. Joint Special Operations Command from 2011 to 2014. He oversaw the 2011 Navy SEAL raid in Pakistan that killed al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
Former CIA director John Brennan, whose security clearance you revoked on Wednesday, is one of the finest public servants I have ever known. Few Americans have done more to protect this country than John. He is a man of unparalleled integrity, whose honesty and character have never been in question, except by those who don

Trump should say, “OK, you got it”.
Yeah. I know. Is is Brennan the kind of guy who DOES deserve an active clearance? As far as I know he isn’t. He’s just a guy working for NBC.
Grant his request ASAP and ban him from the Pentagon and all Navy Seal training and active units as persona non grata. He just proved his oath was a formality and not a sacred honor. His past service is appreciated. His further service is no longer required. Dont let the knob hit you on the way out.
Can probably be traced back to liberals who hope liberal clearance holders will undermine the nation's security.
Brennan is a commie, muslim, America hating pos. If this guy thinks he is one of The finest to ever serve our country then that tells you all you need to know about him and his judgment. Yank that clearance hesterday
“More Drano please.”
Very good! I can see side-by-side signs at Trump rallies. “Drain The Swamp” next to “More Drano Please”.
The President could respond...
Thanks for bringing that up!
It shall be this administrations policy to immediately grant such requests, on the common sense grounds of our National Security interests.
Ok, clearance revoked you traitor.
Get out the stamp and done!
His first paragraph outs himself as someone whose judgement and personal associations disqualify him for the trust that a security clearance requires.
As I said in 34, IMO public criticism of the CiC of the armed forces is not the action of someone with whom you trust national secrets. He should not have had his clearance revoked because he left office, but as soon as he started criticizing the elected POTUS in a way that appears to tear down the office, not respectful of our constitutional process, then he is no longer of honorable character and should have his clearance revoked.
McRaven is not an admiral to be proud of. I know many guys that served directly with him and hold him in low regard.
I'd bet that's pretty damned close to the bullseye.
Good hunch-confirming background .. thanks.
Check out my comment in post #37...
Odd to me the enemy within would so recklessly self identify.
...when everyone can see Brennan for what he is.
Honestly, I’m thinking Brennan let McRaven give him a rub and tug.
...or McRaven has dirt all over him and he’s signaling his loyalty to the deep state. “please don’t scapegoat me”
8/23/2011 mine vanished. I no longer was employed thus no need for a clearance. And, no I didn’t whine,
Given that statement, yes, his clearance should be revoked.
A man of Integrity and honor does not take an oath to tell the truth and then lie through his teeth. Nor does he allow his agency to conduct covert ops on American Citizens IN the USA and Senate Committees!
“Honestly, Im thinking Brennan let McRaven give him a rub and tug.”
lolol
