FULL TITLE: Planned Parenthood Launches Six-Figure Ad Campaign Trashing Brett Kavanaugh: Right to Abortion at Stake
For a group that claims to serve low-income patients, Planned Parenthood certainly spends a lot of money on politics.
In addition to a $30 million mid-term election budget, the abortion chain plans to spend six figures on ads trashing President Donald Trumps nominee to the U.S. Supreme Court, Brett Kavanaugh, The Hill reports.
On Wednesday, Planned Parenthood announced the ad buy, targeting several swing-vote U.S. senators who could make or break Kavanaughs confirmation.
The constitutional right to have an abortion is at stake. Our ability to get health care and to live free of discrimination is at stake, said Carmen Berkley, managing director of Planned Parenthood Action Fund, in a statement.
Pro-abortion TV ads will run in Maine and Alaska, and a digital ad will run nationwide, according to the report. The two states are particular targets because their senators, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine, are pro-abortion Republicans. With such a closely divided U.S. Senate, they and several moderately pro-life Democrats are critical to Kavanaughs confirmation.
The ads will run as part of a multi-group #DearSenators campaign to persuade the U.S. Senate to block Kavanaughs confirmation, according to the Washington Examiner. The ads and other campaign efforts will feature patients personal stories about abortions prior to Roe v. Wade and other issues.
Heres more from the report:
The campaign, called #dearsenators, hopes to use personal stories from constituents on how Kavanaugh could affect their lives if he is confirmed to the Supreme Court. It is the latest campaign from progressive groups who view Kavanaugh as a threat to abortion rights and Obamacare.
The campaign has a website, dearsenators.org, that features voice recordings of patient stories and a way for supporters to send their own voicemail to senators.
SIGN THE PETITION: Vote to Confirm Supreme Court Nominee Brett Kavanaugh
Other pro-abortion groups involved in the effort include the National Womens Law Center, Center for American Progress Action Fund, Stand Up for America and Advocates for Youth.
National pro-life leaders have expressed high hopes for Kavanaugh and the future of unborn babies rights.
A federal judge, Kavanaugh has served on the U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals for D.C. for more than a decade, where he developed an extensive record of protecting religious liberty and enforcing restrictions on abortion. Pro-life leaders believe he would do the same on the U.S. Supreme Court.
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said they will vote on his confirmation prior to the midterm elections.
Planned Parenthood is the largest abortion business in America, aborting approximately 320,000 unborn babies every year. Its most recent annual report showed a record income of $1.46 billion, with about half a billion dollars coming from taxpayers.
Two years ago, Planned Parenthood spent more than $38 million to back Hillary Clinton and other pro-abortion candidates in 2016.
What 3lse can they do with the profits from their body parts division?
What’s worse. Taking political money from the NRA or big abortion?
taking it from big abortion, that is blood money
They are still getting taxpayer money.
>>They are still getting taxpayer money.<<
And they are gambling BIG with that money.
Once Kavanaugh is confirmed (he will be no matter what they do), efforts against planned murderhood will redouble with Exhibit B being using taxpayers money to fund political advertising.
They seem to think this is still the obozo administration.
I wonder how many tiny children and their families could be supported on those 6 figure dollars? Is it even remotely possible that some of those children are being butchered because their mothers cant afford to take care of them? So much for caring about women! Let’s make Trump look like the heartless busturd!
That reminds me, can someone refresh my memory?
Who funds the baby mixmaster sites?
Somebody remind me again why PP deserves tax payer subsidies? I am baffled. Truly.
Is PP a 501(c)3?
If Planned Barrenhood opposes him he must be great!
