KFC chooses 'Seinfeld' star Jason Alexander as newest 'Colonel Sanders'
fox news ^

“As the son of two working parents, there were plenty of dinnertimes when a bucket of chicken and all the fixins saved the day,” Alexander said in a press release. “It’s been fun to combine my personal love for KFC with my sitcom experience into a new take on the role of Colonel Sanders.”

Along with the news, KFC also debuted two of its newest sitcom-themed commercial campaigns starring Alexander, during which he seemingly solves a variety of household problems with buckets of chicken.

In a second 15-second ad, Alexander's "Colonel" comes to the aid of a family in need of a quick, chicken-based meal.

“Did someone say KFC has four ways to feed a family of four for only $20 bucks?” asks Alexander’s “Colonel” — with no discernible accent whatsoever — while carrying a comically large tray of chicken into the family’s home.

KFC has priced themselves out of my business. Plus, bonus, extra small pieces of chicken with 1 to 2 pieces fewer than purchased! Wow! What a deal!

It's called Shrinkage.

Now they dont offer a choice. Its only crispy

What? No original?
It was very good. The main reason we stopped was the size of the pieces.
The chickens must have been getting younger and younger.
Haven't been in years.

Costco rotisserie chicken, the bomb.
Fried, Smithfields Chicken and BBQ. Eastern NC only.

You had a choice between original recipe and crispy. I always chose original recipe. It was indeed delicious. Now they dont offer a choice. Its only crispy.

Strange, in my area KFC used to offer original, crispy, and extra crispy. Now they only serve original and extra crispy. I bought a bucket of original recipe chicken just last week.

I’m pretty sure they use game hens, not chickens. Never saw such small chicken pieces.

I know what you mean. Although, the pieces are a lot bigger than they used to be, before they had so much competition. And the readings different in different places. We had some over the weekend, out of town about 100 miles, and the extra crispy had the same seasoning as the original. Anywhere else we’ve had it, the extra crispy had NO spices in it, at all, except maybe some salt.

I wonder if the new Colonel Sanders will be pulling a half eaten drumstick out of the trash can and start munching on it while Party guests watch?

Diluting the brand and hoping it will result in a comeback - Popeye’s has thrived and the local KFCs are going down the tubes in a long painful slide....

A lot of supermarkets have better tasting fried chicken.

Cheaper too. 12 pieces of fried chicken with two sides for $8.99 and they're not tiny pieces of chicken like KFC!

Notice how there’s not many pigeons around a KFC? Just saying.
