Fakebook is now CENSORING my pro-gun posts, and CENSORING my Messenger messages. There is NOTHING illegal nor immoral in them, but they are NOT liberal enough for them, as an Agent of the Deep State. If you want to know where you can download FREE 3D printable gun blueprints, you may have to call me. Fakebook allows porno, but BLOCKS website links to legal, technical firearm information. If you want to download the forbidden knowledge, (and I did all 10 designs, even though I have no such printer, just to strike a blow for the First Amendment) go to CodeIsFreeSpeech, but with a www. at the beginning and a .com at the end. You see, Fakebook IS part of the Deep State. Stand up to them. This knowledge is ALREADY in the Public Domain. America's First Amendment depends on YOU!
Honestly, I had READ of such things, but I never thought they would do it to me. Now that they HAVE, many friends are describing similar censorship, such as erasing of posts, or not letting their friend “see” messages sent to them, that have happened to THEM! The “forbidden” website in question is of course www.codeisfreespeech.com
Every patriotic American ought to be done with Fakebook - it sows nothing but chaos and confusion. There are other ways to share - plain old e mail still works.
I disabled Facebook on my Android phone a few days ago. Sure, I can still get at it with a browser on my phone and home computer. But, oddly, when it’s not reminding me every 15 minutes that someone posted a picture of a meal or a pet it becomes an “out of sight, out of mind” sort of thing.
Except when I see threads about it here. :)
Why would anyone bother with Facebook? By continuing to use it you are supporting their censorship.
Anytime some service provider starts engaging in that sort of behavior I drop them like a hot potato.
For example, as soon as Netflix hired Obama I cancelled. There is no doubt what the future of that organization will be and I have no desire to stick around for the ride down the drain.
Please share this info: Spread it FAR and WIDE!
I understand how you feel.
And I am not going say “Don’t use Facebook” because I don’t, and have never used it. For me to say that is the equivalent of people saying “Don’t watch NFL Football, you’re not a patriot if you do!” if they don’t watch football. Easy for them to say because it isn’t hard for the them to do.
So I feel that way with Facebook. It would be easy virtue signaling for me to simply say it is unpatriotic to use it, since I don’t.
That said, I feel that Facebook should do what they want. They are a private company, and I don’t want the government involved.
I have been on FR for going on 15 years. We delete posts all the time here. I don’t want the government coming on Free Republic and telling us what we can and cannot say, what we can and cannot delete.
Facebook is now open about their censorship. If you use it, you need to understand what the product is and what goes along with it.
Power of the purse stop complaining and deep six those who do not have your best interest. What burns me is the cable package deals that always include CNN and he other bullsh## channels you are forced to pay for to get what you want
and you’re surprised???
I got an email earlier this week about the tag line for a monthly subscription service I have that is changing its tag to be less obtrusive for Facebook. They are changing from Survival + Tactical Gear, to Survival + Outdoors Gear. Apparently they were notified by Facebook that they would be censored. They are not changing the thrust of the service, but are changing the language to be able to escape the weak wristed pansies that cant take hard words like tactical. They assured that their mission will remain true, but the words are changing - for now.

I agree, FB should be able to run their company as they want. And I should be able to delete my account as I see fit, which I did about 3 months ago.
The sensoring thing on social media has been going on for awhile. I closed my Facebook and Twitter accounts when I was shadow-banned on Twitter for posting bible verses on a pro-sodomite celebratory post by my favorite sports team. At that time, I also received death threats toward my wife and children that I reported to Twitter but the tweets were never taken down although mine were. I guess they thought I deserved it. I had one homosexual call me to scream at me at how much he hated me for my views. I was able to calm him down and give him the gospel of Jesus Christ. I don’t know how he got my phone number.
It IS possible to unplug. Not easy though. Surprisingly difficult in fact. For awhile anyway. I’m not always checking my phone to see how many “likes” I got on my tweet, so there is that. By the way, I had over 2,000 organic followers on Twitter because I posted sunset photos nearly every day. I don’t miss it now.
True...but I hear from people that they make it very difficult to delete accounts...is that true?
Easy to do. Log in to your Facebook account and then visit this link:

Create a new social media forum on your terms. Give them competition. Respect their right to run their own forum, no different than Jim’s right to run this one, and since you don’t like Facebook, go elsewhere. I dislike social media altogether, but my son, appalled by facebook’s tolerance of anti-Jewish and anti-Israel posts, started the following:

I responded to a Facebook rant about how stupid and evil it was for the Trump DOJ to allow anyone have let alone post 3D printable gun blueprints by pointing out that homemade zip gun technology has been readily available since the 1940s and posting a link to one of the hundreds of YouTube videos showing how to make one with a few dollars in parts available from any hardware store. I was immediately suspended from FaceBook.
They allowed a post yesterday where a female had lighter fluid sprayed on her and SET ON FIRE!! But no posts concerning legal firearms?
Ah. I wonder if that is a relatively recent addition? I have heard for years they didn’t make it easy to delete an account.
Duh! They are doing it to everyone.
