But Hollywood has always been a hedonistic place...
The biggest offender was Rock Hudson.
The list of teen-20’s boys and young men lives he destroyed is very long.
For starters:

James Dean
Whatever. Some surprises, I guess, but this doesn’t seem to pass the sniff test, if I cared enough:
“One day Cary Grant was in the gas station and Rock Hudson just happened to be there, so Cary Grant picked him up. I fixed him up with Rock for 20 bucks, and Rock saw him several times. This is before Rock had any movie.”
I’d be slightly more interested in a full accounting of what taxpayers funded for Barney Frank running a brothel out of his apartment, and crimes he committed for which he may still be held accountable in some way.

Now, with all the news of sexual predators and pedophiles......I believe every word.
In the movie industry....even in the 30’s, 40’s etc......or especially in those years....
....the industry squashed all hints of impropriety......even though, for many, sexual deviancy was rampant, I now believe
I’m not going to read it, but “outing” people that can not defend themselves is the act of a coward. Cary Grant and Spencer Tracy were not queers.
No wonder they’re so many democratic in Hollyweird.

This is not a new story. The book came out a while ago. Drudge seems to have fetish for this story. I wonder why?
Hollywood BS... timed to tell us the 'new sluts' are just like the 'sluts of old'... Well, not buying it... Yeah there we some in the past but it wasn't like today.
This is true. I read his book many years ago I think.
He didn’t squeal on Hillary because she’s still alive.

John Wayne was not homosexual.
I read about Scotty Bowers in a Vanity Fair article several years ago. He tells great stories but whether their true or not is something else. Everyone he talked about was dead.
He claimed he slept with Spencer Tracy, could be true. Tracy was in fact Gay and was very conflicted about it. His son was born deaf and Tracy felt he was being punished by God. He would go on these awful drinking binges, checking into a hotel with cases of whiskey and drink like that for a week or two, He wrecked his health. Kathryn Hepburn was also Gay and at one point lived openly with another woman in the 1930’s in Hollywood. There never was any big romance between them.
As to other parts of Bowers story I just don’t believe all his stories. The only actor from that era that admitted being Gay and talked about it was Caesar Romero who gave an interview about it all and he never told the stories this guy has. I would say that a great deal of it is fantasy.
