Yeah it is old... good question... i am still using an old dual chip, quad core workstation from 2001. They may have been using old technology hardware requiring old software to help them avoid been tracked. New processors have serial numbers stored that new software reads. NT was hard for me to give up, was first and last really stable platform I ever used. Mine was made for XP and works under 7 but buggy... I cant leave auto updates on I burn a system image before updating.
