A man returned to his New Jersey home Monday night to find both his wife and her lover dead in the garage, after the pair apparently died of carbon monoxide poisoning while having sex, law enforcement sources tell NBC 4 New York.
The 39-year-old woman and her 56-year-old lover who sources believe was her mechanic were discovered just before 9 p.m. Monday at a house in Newark.
Sources say the wife and the mechanic were having sex in a car in the garage when they were both killed by the poison gas. The husband came home later to discover their bodies.
Law enforcement sources said they believed the wife was paying for her car work by having sex with the mechanic.

Someone already observed that a mechanic that didnt have the sense to shut the engine off doesnt square. The cops may have a real case on their hands!Maybe he thought if you keep the engine running for the air conditioner, it wouldn't count. Or the oldies station that plays Barry White.

he was kind of upset that any of us found humor in his situation. Considering that he was something of a horndog in high school, it all seemed out of character from him....aaaaand now he knows how it feels to have unwanted sexual invitations.

Good marrige, they dont even talk about car repairs. This could be why, before women's lib, the husbands took care of everything having to do with the car.

“Yep this is too bizarre. Hes working on her car in her closed garage, no air flow, with the engine running? This doesnt quite add up.”
Hubby runs hose from his running car parked outside, then once they’re dead he enters, starts her car, and exits.

I like it! In environmental stuff they can test the groundwater and trace the gasoline back to certain brands that have their own additives. To see what the leak source is - and who gets to pay for the cleanup.
I wonder if there might be some traces in the lungs with different chemicals depending on the brand of gasoline. Of course - if both husband and wife fill up at the same nearby station that won’t help.

"...man finds wife dead mid-tryst with mechanic..."
For all we know the NJ guy is overjoyed with the outcome.
If the mechanic similarly had a spouse, she might be equally pleased if she knew her guy was a dirty cheater.
If any life insurance is involved...it is a legit death. The survivors depart the marriage far more easily with less lawyer involvement.
No muss, no fuss.
Thought the same thing during the September 11th attack with virtually all the spouses seemingly grieving.
The twisted side of me believes there were likely exasperated nearly ex-husbands and nearly ex-wives who were secretly feeling very relieved.
