A man returned to his New Jersey home Monday night to find both his wife and her lover dead in the garage, after the pair apparently died of carbon monoxide poisoning while having sex, law enforcement sources tell NBC 4 New York.
The 39-year-old woman and her 56-year-old lover — who sources believe was her mechanic — were discovered just before 9 p.m. Monday at a house in Newark.
Sources say the wife and the mechanic were having sex in a car in the garage when they were both killed by the poison gas. The husband came home later to discover their bodies.
Law enforcement sources said they believed the wife was paying for her car work by having sex with the mechanic.

A former classmate of mine was an appliance repair technician for a well-known chain store. At a class reunion, he was talking about the surprising amount of sex-in-lieu-of-payment offers he got when doing repairs on-site. It was more a tale of woe than a guy bragging to his old buddies, the gist of it being:
a. many of the women who made the offer were less than alluring for one reason or another
b. after a while, he just wanted to fix the damned machine and leave regardless of anyone's desirability.
His forlorn expression and deadpan delivery were unintentionally hilarious, and he was kind of upset that any of us found humor in his situation. Considering that he was something of a horndog in high school, it all seemed out of character from him.

A senior couple returned to a Corvette dealership where the salesman has just sold the car they had been interested in to a beautiful, leggy, busty blonde in a mini skirt and a halter top.The old man was visibly upset. He spoke to the salesman sharply, "Young man, I thought you said you would hold that car till we raised the $85,000 asking price. Yet I just overheard you closed the deal for $72,000 to the lovely young lady there. And if I remember right, you had insisted there was no way you could discount this model."
The salesman took a deep breath, cleared his throat and reached for a large glass of water. "Well, what can I tell you? She had the cash ready, didn't need any financing help, and, Sir, just look at her, how could I resist?" replied the grinning salesman sheepishly.
Just then the young woman approached the senior couple and gave the car keys to the old man.
"There you go," she said. "I told you I could get that idiot to lower the price. See you later Dad, Happy Father's day."
Guess the rotors needed turning, huh?
That was my first thought, too. Could they really have been that stupid to leave the car running in a closed garage?

The dum dum cheating wife probably wanted to hear tunes on the car radio.. The horndog mechanic probably thought they’d be done before the gas could kill ‘em. Our society is Sick.
Coulda been worse. Instead of shagging the auto mechanic.
She could have had the upholsterer in. To check on the carpets and drapes.
Or the plumber. “Ma’am, you have a leak in your basement.”
Yeah, ummm, he wasn't exactly working on the car anymore. He was working on something else at that moment, I believe. The automotive repairs were likely complete, probably at his shop.
