The Democrat Party, as a political force and unit, will do all that it can to deny POTUS, Trump, his choice to choose the next POTUS appointed & Senate, confirmed Associate Supreme Court Justice. This action, IMHO, is a big and devastating political choice/action which will further hurt the Democrat Party politically come, the November Mid-Term elections.
I suspect somewhere between three & five Democrat Senators will vote to confirm Trumps choice, but, one can never be sure....so, we will have wait and see how this plays out. However, I can safely assure the voters that Democrat "Nay" votes will not save any Democrats from being defeated in November.
For instance, Democrat, Senator, Bill Nelson is running for Senate re-election in Florida. At the moment he is in a tight race with Republican Governor, Rick Scott, now leads Nelson by about five points from recent polling.
If Nelson votes "Nay" on the Trump Choice for the Supreme Court, he is as good as politically dead in Florida. Many other Democrat, Senators are in the same boat as Nelson. The Democrat Party has fractured itself apart, with many stupid emotionally, hateful, related moves. Opposing Trump on this one, while it appears it is a good, great political move...it is not that at all!!!
Sorry, Dems...elections have consquences...period!!!
I think all of Trump’s candidates are worthy, but maybe he’s not putting his first choice first, knowing that person has a snowball’s chance in hell of being appointed. Not to worry, there are others, and one of them will make the cut.
In the end when votes are counted in November the Democrat Party will be smaller and than it has been in 100 years since Americans realized they were lied to about the need to enter World War I by Wilson and swept his retched gang of scumbags out of power.
Those who think otherwise have the burden of proving Americans want to open our borders, embrace socialism, repeal Trump’s tax cut, repeal the Second Amendment and impeach Trump. Hate is a headline not a winning platform.
We’re seeing the situation in almost identical ways. There’s reason to fear that the situation spins out of control, any guidance or restraint from political parties breaks down, and we end up with a full-blown resurrection. The Republicans who hate us are way too confident about their ability to stop it from reaching the tipping point. The Democrats with radical crazy ideas are way too confident that implementation of them wouldn’t cause chaos.
Absolutely correct most can’t figure this out at least 7 rats go down if Schumer wins
The problem for those Dems is that a yes vote might help with swing voters, but it will cost them a lot of goodwill with their hardcore base. They may lose some enthusiasm from those people, and drop a few percent as a result. So they’re damned either way. Which makes me happy. We just need a few of them to step up; Trump can make a deal that he won’t campaign against them in their states if they do. If they don’t, he’ll be there the night before the election.
The RNC or some conservative PAC (Courageous Conservatives PAC?) should use the old Terry Dolan-NCPAC technique. Once the nominee is chosen, get ads on TV as quickly as possible giving the office numbers of red-state Democrats, the same ad except for the tag: “Call Senator Manchin/McCaskill/Heitkamp/Donnelly (etc.) at (202) 224-XXXX and tell him/her/it to vote for Judge X.”
Then when they don’t do it, come back with ads hammering them.
I might take a gamble and do that to Kaine also.
Speaking of “empty suit” Democrat, Tim Kaine, while he looks to safe this year to hold his Virginia U.S. Senate seat...facts are, with a vigorous pro-active campaign he can be beaten come November.
Funny, the once great “Red State” of Virginia has two buffoons for their U.S. Senators, Tim Kaine, the empty brainless suit and worse, Mark Warner, a blithering drunk who shoots his stupid mouth off at Long Island, “East End” Democrat drink fests...amazing!!!
That’s the one thing about Corey Stewart. he intends to mount a vigorous campaign, but the RNC has already decided that he can’t win (which really means he’s not Establishment enough, so they’ll make sure he loses.)
