(FOX 26) - Scientists have taken a giant step towards curing cancer, according to a new study.
Stanford university researchers have found a way to clear cancer in mice with immune-system stimulating injections.
The report published in the Science Translational Medicine Journal last week shows promise in terms of destroying tumors.
The new approach is a form of immunotherapy, which uses the body's own disease-fighting power to battle cancer.
Scientists report using compound injections to effectively eradicate cancer tumors in mice.
According to the study, their approach worked startlingly well -- even in mice who had lymphoma in two different areas of their body.
They injected minute amounts of two immune-stimulating agents directly into solid tumors in mice and saw that it eliminated all traces of cancer in the animals, including distant, untreated metastases.
"In this way, 87 of 90 mice were cured of the cancer. Although the cancer recurred in three of the mice, the tumors again regressed after a second treatment. The researchers saw similar results in mice bearing breast, colon and melanoma tumors." It's been tested on mice with lymphoma, breast, colon and melanoma tumors.
A clinical trial is being planned to test the method on human lymphoma patients.

Please do the same for curing diabetes and reversing the effects of a stroke. One out of six people have a chance to suffer a stroke.
This may be very important simply for recognition of the importance of the immune system in any disease.

Imho the Medical community here in the USA is not about to CURE people anymore, but only to TREAT patients.
The logic behind it is simply that you dont make $$ of people being healed!

When it comes to anything biological or chemical I do not trust the Medical Establishment at all.
I’ve witnessed one too many times where doctors advise ended up in the patient’s death.
One, I have been hearing this claim ever since I went to medical school, 50 years ago.
Two. Immunotherapy is a huge breakthrough for auto immune disease and is promising for some cancers, but not as good as the article claims and not for all cancers.
I have sent patients into studies however, if they met the criteria.
Supposedly the results from several studies of the immunology approach to fighting cancer have been very promising. Hopefully we can roll this out and experience some real breakthrough results in the fight against cancer rather than just the incremental improvements we’ve been seeing up to this point.
Just like in every other successful tests on mice, this is good news -— IF YOU’RE A MOUSE.

You’d have to count upon the knowledge and wisdom of medical researchers and their chemicals just to put you asleep and keep you alive through the mess. Ever been in horrible pain? There are excellent drugs for that now; and we don’t have to go through the misery that our ancestors did - or die from giving birth, or of pneumonia, or an attack of bees or hornets, if you happened to be allergic.
These ‘chemicals’ are wonderful things; and with all respect, you seem to allow fear to guide you, instead of good sense.
