This sounds like good wildlife management. Nothing more.
It takes a lot of skill to take a shot at hit a 4000 pound docile animal that is standing still.
I have also hunted, nothing larger than small game, and in some cases I have eaten what I have hunted. Dove, squirrel, rabbit.
But any animal greater than a deer, my imaginary line, I suppose, I am neither interested in or respectful of killing when it does not need or require killing for a specific reason.
I understand that culling is sometimes required, and I’m okay with that, but I am not okay with trophy hunting. I would rather the animal spirit remain in its vessel.
Unless it’s trying to kill me or I’m starving, I have no personal desire to kill any animal. It’s a personal thing.

I don’t care to do this but more power to her if she does. It just gets to me that the people wailing over an animal are the same people who are happy about killing babies in the womb.
Because they love animals, they increase the herds health by very costly hunting trips.
Let me guess you have never actually accomplished supporting game conservation efforts... to each his ownm
Guessing that Geoffrey, the Toys R Us giraffe, vacation didn’t end well.
Consumption of non endanger species - Okay
Culling to prevent starvation/disease etc. - Okay
Trophy hunting - No.
My family members were hunters and they ate what they killed. In our family, we just wouldn’t understand collecting “trophies” when the entire purpose of hunting is to succeed in bringing down prey. “Trophy” hunting is like a “participation award” for showing up, or not failing completely.
The deer and wild boar population in the US are out of control.
There's no reason on earth to kill an animal for sport.
That's what serial killers do.

Here big mistake was to not show photos of her aborted child. Had she done THAT, she’d be feted and celebrated./S
I believe that no meat will go to waste. The guide will make sure that his village or someone gets the meat and it’s distributed or sold. And the fees the hunter paid will support many people and the ‘tag’ will allow the govt’ to pay for park staff.
I understand where you are coming from. All I “hunted” in college were cougars..
I’m OK with this. I don’t have a problem with those that do and those that don’t.
Didn’t you read the article? It’s full of reasons to do it.
Sorry. She looks NOT GUILTY to me.
I would like to invite her to dinner so she can tell me all about her hunt...
