Disney is eager to fire and replace Kathleen Kennedy over her disastrous handling of the Star Wars franchise, reports Grace Randolph of Beyond the Trailer. The left-leaning trades Deadline, the Hollywood Reporter, and Variety, etc. continue to willfully drop the ball when it comes to intelligent and honest reporting on Disneys imploding Star Wars franchise. This means their readers cannot trust them for accurate and objective information. If a single one of these outlets has shown the moral courage to accurately reporting on the fan revolt against the left-wing turn the franchise has taken with Kennedy at the wheel, I missed it.

Disney was only responsible for two sequels (Rogue One and Solo are anthology series and thus don’t actually count as part of the mainline films, so they don’t even count as ‘quel films.). Lucas was responsible for making sequels and prequels after A New Hope, so blame him for that, especially when back then Disney didn’t even own the rights to Star Wars. Now, that being said, Disney DEFINITELY did badly with the Sequel Trilogy thus far.
I have far too many hobbies and not enough time to enjoy them all:
Rogue One, I thought that was excellent! Other recent Star Wars movies? They’re okay, nothing memorable.
Yeah, I fail to see how any of the characters in Rogue One were gay. I know there was a guy played by a Muslim who predictably defected over to the Rebels, but beyond that, not much. If you’re talking about that blind monk and his partner, they just came across as heterosexual life partners if you ask me. Even Luke and Han had a bit of that going on, and they’re straight (well, Han is, anyways, though even the Expanded Edition implied that Luke also was straight due to being in love with a farmgirl on Tatooine and having an alternate reality where he DID in fact marry her.).
And as far as Jyn Erso, I actually could tolerate her a LOT more than Rey, to be honest. At least she doesn’t insist that she doesn’t need rescuing and actually has shown vulnerabilities in the film, not to mention at least she doesn’t come across as doing perfect at everything she can get her hands on (granted, I did sympathize with Rey at one point, only one point, and that’s her first appearance where she’s pretty much a junk dealer fending for herself, barely even managing to get much payment for her work, and it being revealed that she’s waiting for her parents to return as they abandoned her. Unfortunately, they lost me when she started doing everything perfect on the first try starting with the Millennium Falcon). Plus, I’m a bit of a sucker for family values stuff, so even though I don’t root for the Rebels anymore (you can blame Lucas’s bragging that be based the Rebels on the Vietcong and the Empire on America for why I don’t root for them anymore), I can’t help but at least be sympathetic to Jyn Erso. Long story short, I didn’t find Jyn Erso to be a mary sue at all, unlike with Rey.
Honestly, I’d be very surprised if Bob Iger would even CONSIDER firing Kathleen Kennedy for Solo’s failure, considering he didn’t even suspend that Jemele Hall lady at ESPN after she made those nasty remarks about Donald Trump on the air, even citing as an excuse to keeping her at work that she’s “an angry black woman” (yeah, really. You can’t make this stuff up!). She must have REALLY screwed up, far more than even Jemele Hall did, for Iger to deeply consider firing her. Heck, she had to screw up big time, even more than the tweet controversy caused by Chris Weitz and Gary Whitta where they strongly insinuated on Twitter that the Rebels were anti-Trump and anti-Brexit, not to mention the Empire was a White Supremacist organization while the Rebels were multicultural led by brave women, just prior to the film’s release (and especially around the time that Donald Trump was elected President over Hillary), considering they weren’t even fired for their remarks or even suspended.
And honestly, if Kathleen Kennedy was chosen by George Lucas to take over Lucasfilm and Star Wars, then I’d have to also blame George Lucas for the failure, considering he knowingly chose someone who hated Star Wars to continue it. I wouldn’t DARE choose someone who hated Star Wars that much as my successor if I were in his position precisely BECAUSE I’d realize they’d try to destroy it in any way, and if anything I’d make sure to choose someone who actually DOES have its best interests at heart, actually DOES like the franchise. Then again, he probably chose her because her politics aligned with his, both being radical leftists.
Well thank you.
However, in either the comic, or in the movie, I havent seen a single thing that made me go, Ew, whoa, thats gay.
A lot of it is subtle. I had a vague recollection of several "gay" things occurring in the pizza guy scene, so I went and looked at it on you tube.
When DeadPool comes out of the bathroom and notices the Pizza, he says "Sweeeet and Saaaalty." Later in the scene he says: "Give a look in her general direction again, and you will learn in the worst of ways that I have some hard spots too." Then he says: "That came out wrong.... or did it?" He then kisses the Pizza guy on the cheek.
Just looked at youtube and found someone else noticed some of the gay stuff I and my wife noticed when we saw it. Watch these excerpts and see if you agree.
Also I recall DeadPool hiding the engagement ring in his bum, and Baccarin referencing the use of "strapons".
If DP ends up dumping Morena Baccarin (how?) and going for some other gay superhero, then, well, the comic book world gets a little bit dimmer.
My thinking is that they did this to de-gayify him for the audiences which they know would vomit at scenes of male on male activity. According to an interview with the creator of DeadPool and Ryan Reynolds, they are wanting him to have a boyfriend in a future episode.
I think they will launch that idea whenever they think they've got sufficient popularity with his character. Had they launched it out of the gate, DeadPool would have cratered.

I think it worked. He seems pretty enthusiastic about Vanessa, and vice versa.
I still truck with my buddies from HS, and we’re all (except one) avowed heteros. The one who isn’t is all the way in the closet, and a hard-core Christian.
For us, at golf, it’s nothing but gay jokes, or referring to ourselves or others as gay.
Example: “No room at the bar? Turn the stool over - seating for four!”
Or masturbation.
We’re 8 year-olds. Then the weekend is over and we return to being Scoutmasters, Captains of Industry, Catholic Priests (just kidding).
It’s fun, and we don’t mean it. In fact, ‘Go f*** yourself’ is short hand for ‘I love you, and can’t imagine my life without you in it.’
I’d like to think everyone is as lucky as I am and has a group of guys who you can just be yourself around, but I know that isn’t so.
All that to say, if DP is gay, Morena Baccarin is the very best ketchup you could put on that piece of liver.
She reminds me of Gillian Anderson - she’s hotter right now than she was when she appeared in the X-files Pilot. She’s hotter than David Duchovny, who is showing his age in ways Gillian Anderson is not.
Were you ever around for Belly Girl? Oh man. And she was conservative, and smart, and blue-hot.
I always wondered whether somebody on this forum dated or married her. Dang.
The first one was classic and is really the only one.

Solo wasn’t bad honestly, far better than “The Last Jedi”....
Unfortunately the Last Jedi angered the fan base, so backlash was SOLO paid the price for it....
Kennedy should be fired for “The Last Jedi” deservedly so....
That photo suggests a lot of Velcro action goes on behind the scenes in their office.

“The kids love this!”
That is a good way to put it.
She reminds me of Gillian Anderson - shes hotter right now than she was when she appeared in the X-files Pilot. Shes hotter than David Duchovny, who is showing his age in ways Gillian Anderson is not.
Really? When I saw the latest reboot of the X Files, I was thinking just the opposite. Duchovny looked only slightly older, but I thought Anderson looked quite a bit, (way past hot) older.
She was a beauty around 2000.
I’m surprised it’s also not a homosexual transexual lesbian.
"You mean they could have just used a small hyperspace ship to destroy the Death Star? You mean a single HyperSpace capable X-wing could have destroyed the Death Star? "
If a hyperspace capable ship is able to blow apart massive star ships, they they would build small ones and call them "hyperspace torpedoes".
Perhaps you could get her to serve on yours?
Heh. Everything is "Estrogenica" now. It won't be long till it becomes "Transogenica."
