New species of TICK in U.S. can kill in 48 hours

Crissy Brownstein Naticchia told The Mighty that her husband of 23 years was diagnosed with Babesia, a tick-born illness that quickly attacks the red blood cells.

His diagnosis came after the 50-year-old had come down with an intense fever that eventually landed him in the Intensive Care Unit.

However, because it took six days for her husband to get the correct diagnosis, he never recovered. Naticchia's husband unexpectedly passed away the day after his diagnosis.

According to Fox 2, scientists have recently discovered an exotic tick species in the United States, specifically in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. It is not known what type of tick bit Naticchia's husband.

It is believed that the East Asian tick cannot only clone itself, but also has the ability to carry a disease that can kill a human within 48 hours.

As Fox 2 reports, the ticks discovered in New Jersey have not been discovered to carry the deadly disease.

Kayla Socarra, a researcher at Drexel's Center for Advanced Microbial Processing, told Fox 2 that she was “scared” by the number of ticks, mosquitos, and other blood-sucking creatures that are not dying out during the mild winters:

“These ticks and mosquitos are having a field day of sorts. [...] Bugs can move into new climates and new places where originally they would have never survived because of warmer temps and increased food supply for them they're surviving quite easily.”

According to a new report released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in May, illnesses from mosquito, tick, and flea bites have tripled in the United States.

The CDC continued:

Over the last 13 years, more than 640,000 cases were reported between 2004 and 2016. Nine new germs spread by mosquitoes and ticks were discovered or introduced into the United States during this time.

Like Naticchia wrote, if people are more educated on this many tick, mosquito, and flea born illnesses, “perhaps it might have made a difference.”

So it’s global warming, and not unvetted immigrants from s#+=hole countries, full of disease and vermin? Got it. “My grandparents (mother, father, uncle, aunt...) were immigrants! We MUST let these people in! They enrich our country!” Yada yada yada.
Of course, when said relatives were allowed to come in, they had to pass health exams, be vaccinated, quarantined, if necessary, treated for parasites, deloused, etc., before they were allowed in. And the airlines had rules, too, and kept a cleaner environment. Not so much today. People who come through normal immigration procedures still must be declared healthy. But apparently, there are some immigrants who are more equal than others, because if there weren’t, we wouldn’t be having recurrences of diseases we long since conquered, here, or vermin coming in luggage and on persons. Not that the CDC would EVER admit that.

Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever can kill you in 3 days if you are 3 or younger or over 50. When 55 I got it from a tick bite on our 15 acre property in 800 acres of hardwood forest. No big deal. Had been pulling ticks off for 18 years then. That was a Tuesday. Super sick Thur/Fri, went to doc. He did test, “not bacterial. A virus, it will pass. If you get worse over weekend, go to ER.”

Got much worse. Went to ER Sunday. Waited in waiting room thrashing on floor for 4 hours. Then they kept misdiagnosing the problem.

Tuesday, a week after the tick bite, I am near death. They finally bring in an infectious disease specialist. No spots, so he is 100% certain it is Erlichiosis - similar to Rocky Mountain but without the spots. They hit me heavy with IV tetracycline, and in a couple hours I turn for the better.

Fortunately they treat Erlichiosis and Rocky Mountain the same. But I almost died because of it taking so long to treat and diagnose it.

It too could have killed me in 3 days, so this new tick isn’t much different except it can kill anyone of any age.......I am only here by God’s grace and His sovereign will........blessed be His name! (Jesus is His name....)

It’s unbelievably beautiful! Don’t be afraid of a few (million) bugs. LOL

Long sleeves, pants and boots are definitely a requirement. If your going to be in the bush, Permethrin treatments are worthwhile. Most people won’t encounter swarms like I saw. With winds, rain and just the sheer random occurrence, I’d really not worry.

It’s a great experience. Worth every inconvenience and mild danger. Almost any excursion will be wonderful and safe, unless you head out in the bush on your own. Even then, the greatest danger comes from staying up too late and making poor decisions.

I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. There is no other place where you can see wildlife so abundant. The mountains and rivers teem with life. You can go fishing on a lake and never see another person; you can watch whales; see a bore-tide; shoot a moose, bear or caribou (camera or gun if you have the $$) ; travel the Alcan until you’re bored of majestic mountains; pan for gold; see birds that aren’t anywhere else; pick a cabbage larger than a child; catch a halibut that will feed you for a year; and tons else.

Ya, so this tick didn’t start out in the warm South and move north, it appeared in NJ because of GW.

OK!

Name it the Pelosi? Schiff? Bernie? Soetero? Dreaded fanged Hillary?

This disease, Diversity Sickness, is spread by a virulent Omoeba, and is caused by a lack of Patriotism, or by hatred of the West.

It can be cured by red pills.

Maybe we need to spray or up the dosage on the red pills. I don't know how one can cure evil, maybe the cross, silver spikes and holy water has built an immunity?
