Was looking at my "favorites" and thought I should share some I found useful. And could benefit from learning ones others employed.

FR, goes without saying, has been at the top since the internet found me. Will post links in next 'reply' so I don't have to do the html.

Siri on my iPhone gives quick conversions. For example, I just asked how many dashes in 1 fluid ounce. Answer: 48.

Come on. Share those sites.
They may be specialized- so? Some Freeper may need that speciality one day.

Free Republic, by far.

My college site, because I have to.

And generally my horse-racing sites, mostly

http://www.pedigreequery.com/

https://drf.uky.edu/

used together alot.

Used to frequent racing forum
http://www.thoroughbredchampions.com/forum/

but not nearly as I used to, since my sister died I kind of petered out looking at anything outside FR, and when I went back, they changed the format and are allowing alot more low-class behavior and language, which gets on my nerves. (And some of these people I “knew” as I met them at real racing venues.)

Otherwise outside Facebook and Amazon I don’t look at too much. Oh, actually I love YouTube, sometimes just to have music to listen to while doing my pedigrees! :)

Yeah, Etsy was a Godsend especially after eBay went all-PayPal and no-checks.

I remember that site, thanks!

This week I'm building a web page with links to all of my favorite alt-media "stars." These are the people who are replacing the mainstream media and (IMO) talk radio as well. The table will have links to their media channels (normally on YouTube), and also their Twitter/Gab accounts for getting announcements. I currently have about 20, and expect that to perhaps double by the time I'm finished in a few days.

The best-known is probably Dan Bongino. It also includes people like Styx, "JF", Barbara, Molyneux, and Lauren Southern. People who are into this will recognize these names.

When I'm done in a few days, I'll post a copy permanently on the home page of my FR account in case others are interested. This is involving enough research and double-checking that it may (IMO) be worth posting an FR thread to announce it.

Instead of trying to come up with a political adjective to describe these characters, I'm simply saying that they are "generally opposed to socialism, open borders and jihad."

That’s a very worthwhile endeavor.
Like many geezers I prefer text, but media is ‘the thing’ on the internet now. People will appreciate your info.

I use Facebook a lot. Everything I post is public. I am careful not to share anything personal or otherwise inappropriate.

You can make it into a useful news site by choosing conservative friends and blocking anyone is too obnoxious. When I first joined, other freepers suggested friends, and once I had them as friends, I searched their friends lists for more people that I would probably enjoy. I now have some strangers whose posts I liked, also. You can have some interesting discussions.

Most of the people are not as well informed as freepers, or as smart. There’s nothing like FR. I sometimes send entire threads to others when the discussion really gets rolling.

Like many geezers I prefer text, but media is ‘the thing’ on the internet now. People will appreciate your info.

Many of the alt-media people do not have any text blogs or transcripts—especially if they do spur-of-the-moment talks or interview guests. But some do have conventional blogs; and I plan to eventually add a fourth column to the table with links to such things. I might eventually add some personalities who only do conventional blogs. This would be like the center column on Drudge; but with a lot of names that are not household words. I follow a lot of European stuff that would be new to most FReepers.
