As sports fans, we sometimes take things for granted. Its not entirely our fault. In this day and age, it just seems as if weve just seen everything. So when something truly special happens, it doesnt always attract the appreciation it deserves.
Such is the case for the amazing rivalry that has developed between the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers over the last few seasons.
We have seen some mighty clashes over the years. Theres no denying that the competition during the 1980s between Magic Johnson and the Los Angeles Lakers and Larry Bird and the Boston Celtics was fierce.

Who??
I’m watching the Stanley Cup Finals.
Go Vegas
Yes! Go Vegas!! :-)
Blackestball? How gay. Haven’t watched it since Bird and Johnson
I had to look to see what was so historical. Here it is:
“For the first time in American sports history, two teams will go toe-to-toe in the championship for the fourth consecutive year.”
It appears to me that most of the best players are on those two teams.
I was a GS Warrior fan for decades until their coach started mouthing off about political issues and the team decided to blow off a White House visit by disrespecting Trump. What I find surprising is how easy it is to eschew watching professional sports.
Cavs vs. Warriors?
This is like the Nazis vs. the Soviet Union - who do you cheer for? They’re both repellant.
(Go Capitals)
Golden State in 4, 5 at the most
Made for TV BS. This match-up was ordained from on high by the league before the season even started.
Happy to report this will be the 64th straight NBA finals I’ll not be watching.
You've never watched the Lakers-Celtics rivarly in the 80s? The Bulls in the 90s? I mean c'mon!
Agree, Golden State in no more than 5 games.
To #13: I went to see San Antonio vs Milwaukee in 1993 in SA...left at halftime to watch a college game...Pro BB is not my thing.
Heck, just catch the last 2 minutes....(ducking)
I bet most dont remember who won nba champonship 6 years ago....so who really cares?
hmmm......it’s a seriously summery late May. There are guys still ice skating for a championship. There are guys who will soon be dribbling for a championship. It all seems a bit silly.
haven’t watched since 1998.
