I do hate traveling, and walking is more a chore as I get older, so it works for me, too. So glad you’re pleased. I couldn’t end with the voice piece. Husband threw a fit and, for the peace and tranquility of home, I agreed to spin it off as a separate piece. He couldn’t get past the fact that the Greek influence on Egyptian art meant that the art looked less classically Egyptian. I tried the art history argument and it just didn’t fly. Sigh.

I read bangles as bracelet????? There is a gold child’s bracelet in the video, early as I remember. Am I being too literal again?

Your husband was right, need to keep it authentic. Saw the second piece, glad you went with the keep peace in the home option. :)

I’m so very pleased you like it, TEX. I’ve started collecting manuscript illuminations already. Fingers crossed I can figure out what to do with them.

I have absolutely no doubt you will!

Are you suggesting ancient Egyptians were black? Some were, but not all. Common trope in those days, even in Greek paintings, is to depict the men as tanned or even reddish while the women are pale white. Some of that is seen in the carvings, with a man dark and a woman pale white.

Egyptians were semites with strong European DNA. Hence a lot of big noses and curly hair, especially the later it got in time period.
